Early Access Review
I want to preface this review by saying that there is a demo available at the devs website, try the game for yourself.

This game is showing that it is in Early Access, there's a few spots here and there that is not quite polished, and areas where further development is needed. I tried the demo and saw real promise, and bought the game (pre-steam), and have spent way too many sleepless nights, opmtimizing workflows. This game has quickly become one of my goto timewasters. What more can i say, this game is quite awesome, and i am eagerly awaiting the continued development of the extraordinary title.

I picked this up as a part of a bundle, expecting nothing much and it was worse off than i thought. The first hours of the game have you in a tutorial where you just follow commands. After I was done with that and finally got control of my own units, i spent about an hour grinding cause the game kinda didn't tell me how to trigger the next flag. The story is bland as oatmeal, with some voiceovers being really cringeworthy.

But then to the meat of the game, the combat. Much to the credit of the game, they are trying something new, instead of controlling single characters actions you now control a group of characters (called a Union). The combat system is simple enough with a leveling system even simpler, use stuff and it eventually levels up. Although leveling up doesn't help you much since the game heavily relies on numbers and RNG, what those numbers might be I couldn't tell you, since the game in no way explains it. RNG is also a big factor, when against the same mob (as in reloading a save and actually fighting the same mob) the outcome of the first round was wildly different, ranging from killing a enemy union without getting hit to myself being one-shotted, this against exactly the same mob.

The game looks pretty enough (if you can overlook som glitchy graphics) although most of the enviroments seems to be quite boring. The dungeons throws nonsense mechanics at you for no reason at all *door shuts down and you get to fight the same mobs you've been chomping like tic-tacs to get there*. In another dungeon there is a slow-down fog, it does nothing exept slow you down, so instead of wasting 5 seconds running down an empty hallway, you now get to enjoy the same empty hallway for a minute.

All in all, the game reminds me alot of FFX, if you take away intresting scenes, combat and story.
