As a dedicated Old School RuneScape player, I’m beyond frustrated with Jagex’s recent Outlook on the game and Survey and their hollow apologies. Let’s be honest, this wasn’t about “gathering unfiltered feedback.” It was about testing how far they could push players before we snapped. Proposing in-game ads, reduced AFK timers, paywalled plugins, and charging extra for player support isn’t just tone deaf; it’s blatant greed. Many of these "features" should already be part of the base game or membership, not premium extras dangled in front of us for more money.

Jagex’s apology reeks of damage control, not genuine remorse. Claiming they’ve “heard our feedback” while continuing to explore ad-supported memberships and other exploitative ideas shows their true intentions: squeezing every penny from their loyal player base. Instead of improving the game and fixing long-standing issues, they focus on ways to monetize and drain players.

This isn’t the OSRS we love. The community has kept this game alive, and we deserve better than corporate strategies designed to milk us dry. Jagex needs to stop pretending to care about feedback and needs to actually deliver on player support and membership for multiple accounts. These are basics that should already be included, not monetized as optional extras. Players deserve better.
