I’ve been a gamer all my life. I started out in the mid 80’s playing games on my Commodore 64 and a few years later Amiga 500. In the late 80’s I became a console gamer and played the Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Master System. Every generation console that came out was a given upgrade and I went through them all. Sega, Nintendo, Neo Geo, Atari Jaguar and PlayStation.

Around 1993 I started playing more PC games again such as Wolfenstein, Day of the Tentacle and Maniac Mansion.

In 1996 I turned into a FPS player when Quake was released for the first time. I went on to play Quake II in 1998 and Counter Strike in 1999. I had a short run as a professional player in a Counter Strike team. I did play some Unreal Tournament during late 1999 also, but ♥♥♥♥ really hit the fan when Quake III was released. That game was perfect for me and it has to be the single one FPS game I played the most. It was fast and intense and very challenging as I always thought Counter Strike was a bit slow. I played Quake III professionally in official tournaments between 2000 and 2002.

Between 1993 and 2002 I played in games as e-lite which is pronounced “e-light”. This name was given to me by the members in a “computer club”. Back in 2002 after having beaten the final tier boss in Quake III during an official event, I took over his name as Xaero.

In 2003 I founded a very successful clan in the game Entropia Universe. The clan was a bit later to be known as Magnum Opus. Since then, the clan has existed in several games like World of Warcraft, Warframe, Firefall, Silk Road Online, Face Of Mankind, Aion, Guild Wars, Diablo, StarCraft and many more. In our prime, we were over 400 active members in the clan. This is THE original Magnum Opus clan.

At the moment only the core part of Magnum Opus still exist. We were the biggest and most successful clan in Firefall and Warframe. We also used to play MQEL, The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot, by Ubisoft before it shut down. We were one of the highest ranked clans in the game and held the #1 spot several times.

I have always been a huge fan of RPG games and spent countless hours playing console RPG’s such as Zelda, Alundra, Golvelius, Ultima, Wonder Boy, Golden Axe Warrior, Final Fantasy, Story of Thor, Phantasy Star, Shining Force, Sword of Vermilion and many more. I also played a whole lot of World of Warcraft between 2008 and 2015. I had a break from WoW but came back to play in Legion again.

Right now I mostly only play Overwatch and have put Magnum Opus on ice. Instead I joined another gaming clan called Serenity Gaming, where I spend my gaming hours now.
