It's time i wrote a review for this game, initially, i played it a couple years ago, it was terrible, bad framerates for me, confusing setup for missions, low playerbase, etc. Now, however, they've made a DRASTIC improvement, emphasis on the drastic. Game runs a thousand times smoother, much better setup, a nicer feel in general really. Cant go wrong, atleast try this game.

CS:GO Review
Starting with the pros,
- Pretty good game, good mechanics and theoretical teamwork ideas
- the skins idea is nice.
- more or less balanced stuff, exceptions for a few guns, examples listed in cons.
- good twitch community, fun players sometimes.
- if you have atleast 2 other friends to que with, the game can be very fun, especially with good teamwork.
cons (mostly not due to the game, but rather due to the community):
- the community is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ toxic, literally the saltiest, most retarded and most annoying on the planet.
- the salty community hates on cod, compares cs to cod, they're very different games targeted at very different target audiences, stop it.
- die ridiculously once, and the player legitmately calls ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, complains about it.
- dont get me started on the ridiculously static filled mics that some people use, i get that some of them may be financially badly off, but when you have a karambit that you bought on the community market, a vulcan, and various other things, as well as the newest iphone 6s, you can ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ afford a 20$ mic that sounds good, maybe even the 38$ amazing sentey headphones deal which comes with good mic! //notsponsoredbysenteyoranythinglikethatlol
- smurfs, derankers, players playing competitive for fun.
- matchmaking is never even, if all players on one team have a 0.2k/d, and the other team's guys have a 1.5, you shoul reconsider your matchmaking system.
- Trash talkers: oh these guys just. need. to. be rid. of. Should have had a report button for non-sportsmanship, would have half a good community.
- people who have soundboards : these guys need a special point, because it's retarded. there's no point to it, even in casual, if i wanted to listen to music, i'll listen to it on my own.
- the overwatch system allows players who are hackers to see hackers play, and spare them. you know why? because someone who can look legit can get 150 wins and gn1, and he can get overwatch! YAY!
- Valve does not attempt to stop smurfs. why? money. 2nd. it'd piss smurfs off. Easy fix, dont let more than one account play on a specific computer's HWID.
- autos, retarded. broken. the 250$ extra tag doesnt stop their use or balance the economy as compared to an awp, should be 6500 for true economical balance. (this is one of the very few flaws of the game itself, most of the bad experience really comes from the community, the game itself is fine, that's why i recommend it.
- steam support will not help you recover an item with a specific item tag which tehy can use to trace it's ownership if you are scammed, once the item has been sold once, or once it has been traded after the scam.(this is not a probelm i have come across, a friend has come across it and, losing 230$ made him curse the counterstrike game itself, which is actually due to the community.)[Easy fix : add negative money values, if a scammed for item is sold on the market, you refund the person who bought it, give item back to player based on it's specific item tag#. (theoretically existant, supposed to work like a HWID, or a serial adress of a device if you will. if it isnt, then make it a thing, it'd HELP stop scams.)Then, the scammer gets a negative 230$ value on his account, which he must pay off when adding funds.(obviously this is harder to implement, since improper coding would allow people to buy stuff when they have 0$, pushing them into negative money).
- Steam support is slow at replying, but i found that they have fast solutions once they are able to actually reply.
- Allow us to change the in-game field of vision to more than whatever it's set to now, tbch i need a higher fov, else it looks flat, and makes it very hard to get immersed in the game itself.
- having oculus and VR stuffs gives you an advantage in vision around corners, Youtubers have found.
- The Ak-47 on the Terrorist side is far better than any CT-side assault rifles, which is unrealistic. Sure, the AK-47 is a prodigy weapon that provides immense power for the price, but it seems the game undermines the fact that an M4 bullet to the head should hurt just as much. ( one of the few gameplay flaws imo.)
- players should be FORCED to play a special training map before they are allowde to play competitive.
- 4 man awp teams, enough said about that.
- let me cover smurfs again, because it's that much of a problem : "matchmaking" does not work, since smurfs break it; fix : allow only one steam account on each HWID, or maybe make a long, arduous process to allow another account to use the same HWID, as the opposite of an incentive to help STOP smurfing, or reduce it.

Basically, the game itself is a very complex game, with good mechanics and teamplay ideas, but the community is legitamately bottlenecking the experience, alongside some security issues that arent really flaws, but rather loopholes that valve can fix with a little bit of effort. If you have friends to que with, it's still fun, and can be a sporty competetive game. Reccomended game if you have friends with the game, really not a great experience to solo que.
