I've played this game for a good while, have experienced the bugs that other complain about. Have ran out of money, gas, and almost out of motivation...
Although the game has its issues with bugs and at times the randomness may seem like its against you I felt as though the getting lucky with crates/sale prices and the awesome gameplay (upgrading the Laika) were the redeeming factors of the game.
The ending was unexpected and that made that game that much better. I will for sure do another run though in the future.
