Believe it or not, despite seeming to have been a phone game at first, mindustry is really good. It's DMT compared to the LSD of factorio, shorter, quicker, and still very potent.

Let's see, it's a puzzle game. yes.

Nothing wrong there. What's a bigger issue is how it presents the elements of said puzzles. Yes, perceptrons feel like weighted random number generators, yes, giant clusters of if then statements are totally just expert systems. I'm just can't recommend it, even when those sarcastic sounding statements are true to a disturbing degrees, it fails to be entertaining.

Risk of rain 2 was the perfect antidote for the bugs I experienced playing through a buggier game on Linux.

Everything is smooth and simple, and though it got really hard, it was never absurd or impossible.

Also, it runs well in proton, which is the best launch surprise I can recall lately. A native version would be nice, but, it does will on my system even before that.

Oh. Wow, this game is hard. I appreciate the style, and the possibility of adding some difficulty options to make it well... Less hard, which the dev mentioned on another review sounds like it would fix this primary issue I have with it.
In any case, I look forwards to that.

Well, now that it has a linux version, I'm actually pretty happy with this game.

It is quite a while after the release for it to happen, so, eh.

But, the gameplay is pretty decent, though, given that I'm decent at the fighting already, I think it might be a tad easy, though, why the heck did they call it normal mode when it's easy, and hard mode when it's normal? That's some silly stuff right there.

I'm really a fan of this.

It took me a while to get the hang of it, it takes some farming to get to a comfortable place in it too, but once you start getting there the combat feels very smooth.

This game is really fantastic. It has narrative that develops along with the strategic situation that develops in the game.

It has wonderful visuals, complex mechanics, but many of them can be managed automatically, Sectors divide your empire into autonomous areas, which may focus on one thing or another. Ships may be automatically updated to the latest tech, the expansion management system shows a list of the planets which you can colonize and will build and dispatch a colony ship when it is possible.

It's got a few rough edges, the lategame performance isn't stellar (the complexity catches up with the engine), the sectors aren't terribly well managed (but this has improved a bit recently, and seems like it will only get better).

In general, considering how it seems like there's going to be a lot more content coming out for it, I think this is a good purchase now.

If the endgame performance issues is too much of a big deal for you, then perhaps it might be a good idea to wait, I think it will improve as they continue to work out the kinks.

From the depths is a truly wonderful game.

It's a bit like space engineers as you construct vehicles.

Despite the unpolished exterior, there is a lot of complexity to this game, there are amazing things on the workshop that show how creative the players are.

The building interface could use a little bit of polishing (it could stand to steal the Space Engineer's hotbar).

It is a massive timesink and I doubt that I'm all that good at it despite the length of time I've spent playing it.

You also may need a rather beefy system to play it well, as it is a bit of a resource hog, but I'm not sure it can get faster, as there is a very large amount of processing due to the various complexities that exist in the game.

In any case, I'd recommend it over Space Engineers, as the strategic element works quite well, despite some teething problems that are now just getting sorted with the AI.

Then there's the adventure mode, which turns it into a bit of a roguelike, which is odd and terrifying due to the suddeness and immense superiority which I typically find myself facing(once again, I'm not that good at it).

I'd definitely recommend it.
