I really enjoyed the game, but it is also pretty unstable. I had it crash three times on me. I plan to come back and rebuy it some time. For now, though, while I recommend it, I did request a refund.

I don't know why, but I had to install this game on my SSD. I still get dropped from games at random, but the load times are fast enough for me to get back into the same match reliably. So, yeah. changing my rating, Recommend.

Found a ship, stole it, sailed across the map. Ran aground on island full of chickens. Catch all of the chickens. Tide came in, freed my ship. Sail away. Run aground on Island full of snakes. Got poisoned infinitely. Die. Respawn next to different ship.
Muh Chickens.

My Initial Review for this game was made at 8 hours. I now have nearly 80 hours.
TL;DR: I can't see some enemies in the world, and the server stability sucks. Might want to wait on this.

I love this game, and I want so badly to recommend it. But the current state of the game makes that impossible from my point of view. My biggest complaint, as it was in my original review, is that on my Machine the enemies have a tendency to just not render. I'll be riding along a road, and then get stabbed by an enemy I had no idea was even there. The only way to find them is to target lock, which does not help me fight them, only locate them. Sometimes, I'll see the enemy just fine, but mid fight they will fade out and become invisible. This makes some sections of the game an exercise in masochism as you try to explore around enemies that you may or may not know are present. And unfortunately, the most common recommendation for solving this is to lower you settings to make the rendering process easier on the card. I'm already at the lowest possible settings.

If that was all that was wrong, I would still not recommend. But there is a tremendous amount of server instability. Half the time I play with a friend is spent hovering around a Site of Grace, waiting for it to properly connect us, and the other half is spent praying that neither of us gets booted back to our own worlds because of a server issue.

So I can't see enemies, and I can't play with someone who can because of server stability. If you aren't running a monster of a PC, it might be better to get the game on Playstation first.

226 hours, and I keep coming back... I think I've only actually finished a single campaign, despite all of that. Absolute recommend.
