Never really played any other roguelike before, this seem to be a fresh and unique take on the genre with a more fast-paced action style which I love.

While each run starts afresh, the challenges to unlock abilities, skins, items and artifacts gives you a reason to keep playing and rewards progression. I'm planning on completing this 100% despite the fact I'm not great at it.

Its only major flaw is its propensity to crash, which can be very frustrating if you're a few levels deep into a good run. Hopefully these issues can be ironed out up to and beyond it's official release. For an Early Access game the amount of content and polish is amazing!

If you're looking to learn more about the game and progress then I HIGHLY recommend checking out Woolie on Twitch and YouTube as he produces a lot of great RoR2 content.

Despite some weird PC specific annoyances with this being a port (like alt tabbing causing windowed mode to screw up, use borderless winndowed to fix it) and a few in-game glitches this is a highly enjoyabale game. Plenty of co-op content and a play style similar to that of Convictions, so if you liked that, you'll like this.
