People talk about games as art a lot.
Pathologic 2 is art.

The story and the gameplay combine to form one of the most harrowing experiences I've ever played; more stressful than difficult, given that much of the challenge is figuring out how to stay alive for another four hours at any given moment.
The story takes the player through a mindbending mystery in a struggle against an ambiguously supernatural plague in a dying town torn between magic and modernity. The town offers neither mercy nor second chances, and all your focus will be required to survive, and to outlast a story as rich with symbolism, metaphor and philosophy as any novel or film. Getting out alive and saving who you can will be a taxing and challenging experience -- but that makes it all the more fulfilling to stand victorious on the final day.

If you don't own this game yet, YOU SHOULD.
If you haven't played the game yet, YOU SHOULD.
Put briefly, this is the best game I have ever played, and one of the best-constructed games I have ever seen.
The developers are in pretty dire financial trouble, being an indie team from Russia, so I definitely recommend you buy this game to offer them your monetary support. They definitely deserve it.

EVE Online is the most in-depth futuristic mmorpg - no, the most in-depth, involved, complicated, and most fulfilling game that I have ever played. I highly recommend it to everyone, and if you're not playing it you should. I know it's expensive, but it is definitely worth the cost with days upon days of gameplay a-waiting.
