Instead of buying RPG Maker every few years for $60+, get this instead. More freedom and creativity.

Enjoyable, but definitely needs some work on balancing the weapons and offensive skills and items. Spear at this current point in time are quite good if you're looking to negate the harder difficulty.

Was absolutely not expecting to enjoy this game as much as I have been. Amazing work and great couch game.
Has mod support via "Thunderstore".

Changed from neutral to negative.

Like many of Bugthesda titles you're thrown into a sandbox where you can "be who you want" with perks to reflect the main playstyles. Talking to people, meleeing people, sniping people or making stuff and upgrading your gear.

Exploration - You're going to land on a planet, or many planets and explore it. You're going to scan all the plants and wildlife. You're also going to explore the same 10 dungeons which are many minutes apart. Many barren planets are empty, which is to be expected and that's about 70% of all planets you'll land on which is a true shame, because the planets which Bethesda actually took the time to make are quite nice.

Combat - You'll spend about 80% of your time fighting in Starfield, which is fine. The gunplay is great, if your weapon is good enough you won't be dealing with bullet sponges.

Perks - Some are definitely much more useful than others, and some require additional levels in OTHER perks just to craft the highest level weapon mods, which is incredibly frustrating. You're also going to have to complete mini-challenges before you can have the privilege of spending YOUR perk point(s). Some of these you will find significantly faster to achieve than others, while the idea is nice, I would have rather have had a Skill Point system and Perks which were closer to Skyrim.

Bugs - I didn't really experience too many gamebreaking bugs, but I will say that the constant "pop-in" for my weapons and other such things any time I checked my main menu was tiresome. Did nobody in the QA team ever open their inventory??

Overall - For the price, you would expect a better game in general. I was definitely more happier with Cyberpunk2077 on release than I was with Starfield, if this is going to be the "standard" of gaming which other game studios were scared of, we are all doomed.

Had this game for a long while and figured it was time to leave a review.
If you enjoy Rollercoaster Tycoon-type games, do not miss the opportunity to buy this.

Starting a park can be a bit difficult, so I recommend going through the tutorials :)

In the months leading up to my "activity" I was simply checking to see if there was any active players on servers with less than 150ms Ping and September 2024 was the last time I bothered to check.

I still think that if they had made it free-to-play on launch, the game could've rekindled my teenage days, and passed the torch to a newer generation of players who were simply curious to experience what a 2d multiplayer shooter could offer.

Unfortunately, the time for it appears to have passed and I don't regret my purchase, I just regret that I was unable to play at all.

At current, the UI is honestly the strangest thing I've encountered and I wish that you could disable certain notifications because every few seconds I'm having some scumbag steal from my treasury despite apparent police coverage?

Honestly being able to layer & animate in the same program is amazing. I just wish the paint bucket was a little more consistent.

Outside of the ridiculous regeneration which bosses have in the end-game, I really enjoy this game. It's just an absolute shame that because of the ridiculous regeneration of said bosses I can't fully experience said end-game.
