Definitely read content warnings before playing this game, but for a story so tragic it was so beautifully told and I really liked the message at the end. I did not understand what the game was about until the very end, because you are misled by metaphor and perspective until it all comes together. I was so invested that I did not get up out of my chair except for once in the entire almost 5 hours. The gameplay itself was not too challenging and the story took precedence, which I actually appreciated. I would definitely recommend this game to others.

Dino Market is so cute!! I got the game in a bluesky raffle hosted by the official page, but wasn't required to review it - I chose to because I loved it. It made my brain happy to watch the little market do its thing and it is so cool that stream viewers can join as well. I really appreciated that nothing was 'locked' besides upgrading the market itself - which you just do by playing! The little avis representing you and your viewers can each be customized right from stream chat and of course most everything is accessible from the little menu bar at the bottom. I didn't have the energy to be productive but the tools were intuitive and easy to use. I just had fun watching the market run and having the little animals float around like a screensaver <3

I played the first game, and loved the atmospheric horror in it. So terrifying, but also beautiful? This game was very similar in that aspect, but delivered a whole new main character with their own personality and approach to things. You get to view new areas and powers as well. Just as in the first game, you learn about the world around you by moving along and seeing it all, which is very cool. I can't say more without fear of revealing too much, but it was a great continuation of the first game and I enjoyed playing it. If I can recommend anything though.... do use a controller. Certain chases in this one were not easy on keyboard (but they did warn that they recommended a controller, so that's on me!)

Love love LOVE this game !! The amount of monsters that you could encounter keep it so chaotic and interesting, and it's funny even when you're unsuccessful. I really enjoy that a lot of the loot is interactable and there is so much potential for annoying your team. While there is genuine fear and paranoia at the various ambient sounds and potential monsters, there are also lots of laughs to be had. The devs worked so hard on this game and it shows! I play it every weekend with my mom atm <3

While I spent much of my time solving puzzles and running for my life.... the game allows you to also step back and appreciate the stunning atmospheric beauty within it. At no point did the game tell me who I was, what to do, or what the heck was going on - which at first confused me. Yet I found myself just pushing forward and being enchanted and horrified by the dystopian hellscape surrounding me. Pieces of story and context assemble as you run farther and farther from where you started, and I can honestly say I did not expect where I ended up - or who I ended up being.

This game was terrifying.... but really beautiful both conceptually and visually. The humor is a mix of childish whimsy and dark humor, and was genuinely really funny. Even so, the serious aspects of the story were kept as such. Choices generally intimidate me in games - but I found myself asking what Little Misfortune would do and just picking that option. I loved her character. A little girl with a big personality learning that it's okay to take up space and be herself.... it just made my heart whole in that way.
