The gameplay of 'Lonely Mountains: Downhill' starts off great, and by the time you reach the bottom of the first mountain you will have had a challenging but fun time. You are then forced to go through the same challenge again twice in order to unlock the next track. This painful setup will start repeating itself, becoming more frustrating every time you repeat the same track you have just beaten.

The camera perspective sucks, there's no better way to describe it. Half of your runs will be ruined by the camera not displaying an obstacle until it's right in front of you. You're just supposed to restart the run and memorize it.

The mechanics are extremely punishing and there doesn't appear to be a 'fun' mode or lower difficulty setting for players who enjoy the riding but would rather not spend hours perfecting various challenges. The game is focused on those who want to grind through the pain and I'm not one of those players.

For the past few days I have had the chance to play the new and improved version of Luminosity and I can only say that it is so much better than the already great game it once was. In addition to greatly improving the Arcade mode, it is clear that the developers spent a lot of time on making this release the best one possible by adding a Campaign mode and expanding the selection of available ships.

Luminosity definitely deserves a go and you will most likely end up playing it every once in a while!
