Only played about 3 hours of the game, played 2 story missions and the tutorial and just said "where is Dawn of War".

I can't get over this, it really breaks my heart that this is what Dawn of War III turned out to be, because i have been a fan of Dawn Of War since 2004's Original Dawn of War. What i loved about the first Dawn Of War and Dawn Of War 2 just isn't here, the base building in no. 1 was an "easy to learn but hard to master" type gameplay and i loved it, i was never good at the game, but i thoroughly enjoyed my time with the base game and all the expansions, same goes for Dawn Of War II, yes i was a bit unsure whether i'd like it since the base building was gone, but the whole wargear thing in the campaign was brilliant, i loved it, even when playing private matches with my friend in multiplayer i had tonnes of fun, and lastly there was the Last Stand mode, i played that ♥♥♥♥ for ages, it was hard but satisfing.

But with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of DOW III, it was just a big let down to me, the game that i had loved up until DOW II: Retribution, was just shattered and i don't believe it will make a comeback anytime soon, which sucks because i wanted to love this game like i did for the previous games, but now I don't think i'll be playing this game ever again. They just took everything that was good in the previous games and just pushed that aside to make it more appealling to MOBA fans, and as soon as you have DOW start playing as a MOBA, that just spells the end of the line.

It's a game where you shoot things and then you shoot the game.

Don't get me wrong I think the game is awesome, I just don't think the big microtransaction thing was the best thing to do, it's just not something that is necessary and how they delt with it is definitely not what any game developer should do, addressing the issue as soon as the heat rises is the best way to deal with it, not after the event has finished
