While I would like to recommend this game, It needs massive work. It's playable, but right now there's 2.5 Core issues that plague the game to the point of where I would say unless you love boxing, you would wait.
1) Stance Switching (Most important) and Clinch are disabled online right now
2.5) Little sense to do actual In-boxing majority of the time, coupled with the fact that Power Punches don't do nearly enough damage
Online play is questionable, but local play is pretty good.. Scoring is kinda whack currently aswell, but you either win by points, or knock the guy out trying to win by points. Ol' fashion (some questionable point weights though, Blocking / counters give the most, even if the other guy is on the inside MESSING you up)

Also, Online network quality from what I hear is terrible, I have like 4 online matches (I usually local play as its a better experience with mechanics, and avoiding the networking issue with smth else like parsec gives option to use stance switch / clinch)
Prize fights are questionable bugged, one completely bricks the game (ryan garcias)

This game has been showcased for 2 years, and in dev for more than 3-4, they only started doing "Early Access" because they ran out of money. It's a gamble, but its the only boxing game on pc in the last 10 years. The playerbase needs to start rioting for changes, and the devs need to listen.. Stance switching should absolutely not be disabled, IMO it's a core mechanic that you NEED.... Clinch isn't as bad being disabled, but thats only because Clinchs currently are just leaning on eachother, you can't fire hooks into the body or anything other than currently lean on them reducing stamina.

There's tons of potential, but realistically this game has massive content problem. The whole game is practically reused from Xenoverse, yet we're struggling for content...

To give you the short review without getting into what is INSANELY bad (I'd be here for hours just ranting), If you look at the trailer and want anything related to something like that, THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS GAME IS. It honestly should be flagged for false advertisement, It's super rough and unpolished, bikes cant even crash, the characters dont even change the story, there's no prologues, there's no actual skill trees that effect your gameplay (they're just small bonuses that lead you ultimately to the same road with some Eh effects mixed in), The gear simulator isn't that bad, but when the animations for combat are just so uninspiring and bland and you have to see these HUNDREDS of times.. I don't know what they were thinking when making this. The trailer looks 100s of times better than the game does in every aspect. This game was an absolute crime when you realize absolutely everything that could've made this game good, great or AMAZING, it's already done and in the previous arkham games.. They chose not to go and ask the studio for help, or even to get input from insomniac, Theres 2 formulas of this that exist and people actively LOVE.. They chose the most lazy and cheap way to make this game in almost every aspect.. Red hood should be allowed to choose whether he's lethal or not, all characters should have more moves from the start, and have a much bigger arsenal of moves by the end.. it was just SO uncreative.. People say the hate isn't justified, which if you saw this game come out in 2012 as the first of its series, i'd agree.. But this game pig-gee backed off of the Arkham IP, and had nothing to show for it. I didn't even touch on performance issues, or how bad the transportation is, or the lack of end game, I didn't get into the fact that elemental affinities feel like they add a flat 30% of your damage JUST by having the affinity on a weapon.. I DIDN'T GET INTO THE FACT THAT THERE'S ONLY 3-4 TYPES OF MISSIONS COPY AND PASTED THROUGHOUT THE GAME. There was so many liberties this game could've took and done, but it they just dropped the ball so hard.

Honestly, its disappointing to see people actually say this game is good.. Because at this point, if people think this is a good CoD, it's never getting better. This is a backwash 2019 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ paint job. They literally recycled 80% of MW2019, cut out 80% of the arsenal, and slapped some slightly (IMO) Degraded graphics on it as it looks worse than Warzone.. It blows my mind that people are cool with saying this is even a decent CoD. Trim the mobility, stop making the guns so inconsistent, and make some new animations for ♥♥♥♥ sake.. we've had half of these animations for over 5 years.. Some of these animation's we've had for over a decade... (looking at you M1911 / glock animations) Take a rule from Tekken's book.. Trash everything and just remake it all.

Very easy game. Simple inputs and lots of creativity with the combo paths ngl, not everything is optimal, but it is fun just doing flashing combos.

Elden Ring, The game that is Dark souls, but is also not dark souls. It features an extensive open world full of mobs, items, npcs, quests, weapons, armor, you name it. The map is VASTE and OPEN, the Mobs can be brutal and forgiving, the bosses although frustrating, are surprisingly enticing to fight. The game isn't as grimey as Dark Souls 3, but this isn't a souls installment, it's a new IP and everybody seems to forget that. This game did all of dark souls extremely well, taking its feel and atmosphere, and mixing it with the fluidity and combat systems of Sekiro, the result being the current product Elden Ring. The bosses are frustrating, the combat is fun, there's invasions, there's magic, there's dungeons, there's freedom to play how you want. They took everything good out of most souls games, improved it slapped it into this. They even improved Co-op by a LARGE margin! You can finally loot while co-oping, sure progress isn't sharable but oh well, that's too casual anyway. Souls are now 1:1 to my knowledge, you can get items and drops, you can basically progress everything except story. Hopefully FS opens online a bit more, Or maybe modding will achieve it in the future down the line when people start caring less about the bans via online modding. This is an incredible game. I'm probably not even 25% through it and I have 22 hours on record since launch. The horrible reviews are from entitled people thinking their systems from 2013 should be able to run this game on high without problems pretty much, and the minority is the people who actually have game breaking problems but are still satisfied with the game because of how good it actually is. Nothing is perfect, a performance problem shouldn't be the reason for review bombing the game itself, its a new game, its something they've never done before, there's bound to be a problem here and there. They did a great job on this game, this is the only game I felt like I got my moneys worth out of already and I'm barely scratching the surface of the game. I can only imagine how insane this game would/could be with modding support. This is an outstanding game compared to pretty much anything else that has came out as of late.

Short: Dark Souls at it's core as an RPG (ARPG) game, with a beautiful open world, amazing atmosphere, incredible music, and insane lore. If you like souls' likes and aren't a snowflake to a little bit of performance issues due to them making this MASSIVE WORLD FULL OF DETAIL.. I honestly 100% recommend the purchase. Even at 60$.

Team has gotten incredibly lazy with design and feel of the game. They do pretty much nothing for PvP its an unbalanced mess and has always been, they do very little with it. They give up on PvE updates after awhile, but when they are still happening, they're usually pretty slow and usually are just things that fix bugs that make the game more fun (We use to have bugs like dungeons giving 2x loot, and loot caves that had decent rates, They prefer to fix things like this than to actually fix the game itself.) We have massive content vault issues and a NIGHTMARE of a game for new players due to how much you have to obtain, and progress while also, being quite a slogg through the mud interms of speed.

The story is lacking since they cut corners and paraphrased some of the scenes basically, and so is the roster for the game since it is missing alot of characters they could've added already and even characters from the story, but other than the bad roster, and the story cutting corners, its actually a pretty fun arena fighter with Naruto Storm graphics and mechanics, but Dragon Ball FighterZ levels of depths due to the amount of conversions & cancels you can do in game. I personally think there should've been bigger kits, and a much bigger roster, but to each there own I guess. Overall I'd say the game is a 7/10 just for the fighting mechanics alone paired with the graphics which looks extremely good for a game like this. That 3/10 missing is primarily 2/10 is roster, 1/10 is story cutting corners. I bought the game today and in about 7.5 / 8 hours I completed the story S ranking pretty much every mission except SPECIAL missions, even got S on the minigames, got most of the coin pickups, got a majority of the collectibles. Game at absolute most takes 10 hours to 100% FC interms of story, and then after that you have an online fighting experience which isn't the best due to the netcode, but as long as your ping match isn't red, you should be pretty good.
