If you get this game then make sure to get the very popular and renowned Empire 2 mod, its really the only reason to buy this game.

Touch more realistic then hunter call of the wild with animal behaviour and harvest management system, comparable graphics to call of the wild as well. You choose the difficulty you want to play in this game unlike COTW which is just one difficulty so if you find say the default difficulty too easy/hard then you can increase or decreases the difficulty to your hearts desire. If your a run and gun type player then the easiest or second easiest difficulty may be suited for you, if you find cotw too arcade and easy to hunt/find animals then default difficulty or even higher may be better suited for you.

The most impressive and mind blowing DLC I have ever seen 10/10 with extreme attention to detail.

For Medieval Kingdoms 1212AD mod this is worth buying.

One of the most beautiful, historical and realistic FPS tactical games I have ever seen. Very well thought out design and commitment to realism/balance from the developers who are also very active and engaging with the public. If they don't agree with something to be implemented then they will give their reasons why based on historical accuracy/authenticity. I have been playing this game since I purchased it in March 2018 for $70 US as a pre-alpha backer and haven't looked back since. It gets updated and improved constantly by an active but small and friendly developer team.

There's no other game out there that captures the civil war era in a first person setting like this. Highly recommend you join a regiment to get into the large scheduled events (8pm GMT for Europeans and 8pm EST for North Americans) where it's always heavily populated at those times and even more so on the weekends. A niche game and small community yes but a highly dedicated and friendly player base that is consistently growing. For the price it's at now compared to before it's a steal!!!! 10/10

One of the best FPS games I ever played when it's with the right group. Amazing attention to detail and is a must have for any team type of player that like tactical fps shooters. 10/10 must have even for an old game it still shines to this day.
Note: best dlc's to buy is SOG Prairie Fire and Spearhead 1944.

Graphics are outstanding, game play is decent, though it is kinda a money grab with all the dlc's they keep releasing instead of a entire complete game. I would recommend this only if it's on sale, buy the dlc's you need or go for the bundle deal when it goes on sale for 25-50 percent off. Lately the team is starting to get its act together hiring more experienced staff plus engaging with the community more about resolving bugs/issues.

With mods, can be a very good multiplayer game
