I played the hell out of the original game back then, so this came with high expectations to me. I decided to wait with buying until all the technical problems were fixed, so I was even more hyped.
Unfiortunately, it's a BIG disappointment.
From technical standpoint, the game runs perfectly fine. Car models are great, deformation and damage are well done. But that's it :(
With the exception of the cars, textures are horrible, and I mean horrible blurry low resolution mess. Definitely not what I'd expect in 2016. Because of that, cars look completely out of place.
The car handling is apparently designed with more realism this time, but unfortunately that makes the game unplayable on keyboard. Either this, or it's just not done very well.
Car damage is completely unbalanced where a slight bump into an opponent wrecks him.
With the exception of the good old Fear Factory in the main menu, the "music" is HORRIBLE to the point of me wanting to punch someone in the face for this crap after as little as one minute of having to put up with it. Neverending short loop of some really bad electronic tune without anything original to it.

I am extremely disappointed that Stainless couldn't make the game right even after such a long time.
You might say "how can you judge it after only 8 minutes of gameplay, are you an idiot?". Unfortunately I can. I clearly remember the original some 20 years ago, and how maniacally I played it. This successor or how to call it just makes me sad.

CzechDeath: if my review is blarp (whatever that means - according to english dictionary there's no such word) of unstable mind, I have no idea what your random sentences are then.
P.S. Not typing in broken english typically add credibility.

MaxDamage: I don't really care what some unknown person hiding behind private profile with Steam level 0 marks somewhere.

Those are the only comments I felt needed addressing.

This is not review this is blarp of unstable mind. U just launched the game went tru the first race, didn't even turn off tutorial, so that's the first thing that pissed you off. Because you have low Vram, game refused to load the highres textures so you were looking at blury shit (tech problem and yours at that) and than you punched your keyboard and went to write this vomit, Am I right? NO? I assuemd? Well so did u friend 0.1h ... yea I think we are done here...

Also the Red car is very hard to handle and master, you should try other one's

If you turn off DOF, AA, and Motion blur, graphics look great.

I didnt actually like the game immediatly but after 1 hour+ im loving it

To be frank, with a recorded playtime of just 0.1 hours I simply can't take your review seriously. It literally takes me longer than that to inspect the various options screens and configure it to my liking. Did you even get past the intro video before posting your review?

I can respect any well-considered review, positive or negative, but only if the reviewer has played further than the main menu.

Sadly this isn't a helpful review for prospective customers and I've had to mark it accordingly. But keep trying - maybe next time you review a game you might want to try playing it first? Honestly, the quality of the review goes up enormously when you have actual experience of the product you're reviewing. I highly recommend it.

Excuse me but you don't clearly remember C1 or C2. Both games were bashed back then because of their handling (and also their graphics...). I play C1 almost every day and C:MD handling is clearly an improvement over the original. It is unfair that you could post a negative review after only 8 minutes of play. You didn't give the game a chance, nor for you to get used to it.

The game has its flaws ofc, but it is packed with mindless fun (just like the originals..!). IMO graphics are irrelevant for this kind of game. Come on, launch the game again, go for the powerups and cause some havoc.
