My experience with this new version of Ticket to Ride is mostly positive, but I do have several complaints.

To start, this new Ticket to Ride, in terms of gameplay, is a big improvement from the last version. The game looks a lot cleaner, and is much more enjoyable as a "let's sit down and play a game now" than the previous version's "let's start a game and pick it up and carry it out throughout the weeks" mindset. This version succeeds in implementing the original board game's concept of sitting down and playing the game with your friends. Visually, the game also looks a lot like an improved version of the XBOX 360 game which is very nice.

However, in this game's current state, two months after its initial release, it's clear that there are problems. The game lacks sufficient play-testing. Here are some examples of problems that occur with playing the game:
- The invite system is very bugged. When a friend invites you, the invites for whatever reason don't process as though they're valid initially, all saying "Game Ended". You have to give the game like 30 seconds before the invite actually shows a "Join" button.
- Some times, the player states do not correctly sync with the other players in the pre-game lobby. So, the host might start a game, and for whatever reason, one or more players may just be stuck viewing the lobby as if the game hasn't started. This is a soft lock and usually each player has to restart their game to fix the issue.
- While trying to connect or enter the online menu, the game can try to load, and then fail, prompting the error stating "No internet connection detected." Not sure if this is a server issue or random game bug.

There are some other issues of which I haven't experienced myself or were too minuscule to list out here. Overall, there seems to be a lot of minor bugs that will occasionally just happen and you have to restart your game to get back to a normal state. Things that would require small patches more than likely.

To conclude, this is a fantastic new release of the game and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to play a digital version of the game. However, it's clear that there are issues with the game, and I hope the developers do what it takes to squash those bugs and create a seamless experience for everyone.

Garry's Mod is a fun open Sandbox game where you are free to do almost anything. With a nearly infinite amount of Workshop Content, the opportunities are endless.

It's been several months since I first bought Rolling Line. For a solo-developed game, it has gotten an EXTREME amount of wonderful updates. Franks (Gaugepunk Games) really works himself out with creating content for the game. The real thing that started the success of the game was the custom liveries update, where players can create their own schemed locomotives and share them through the Workshop.
Although the game was originally based in New Zealand, it has attracted a large majority of North American players. As a result, Gaugepunk recently released the AT&SF Streamliner update with custom liveries. As mentioned, Franks stated that he wanted to include trains from each part of the globe.
As a virtual reality model railroad simulator, Rolling Line is extensively inspiring, and has opened my mind to expand my creativity to another level. With an endless limit to creating custom rooms, I can let my ideas run wild, and share them with other players.
And for those "modder" people? Rolling Line's a good place for that. Franks recently implemented a custom model system with updated features for both diesel, steam, and rolling stock. We've created a site dedicated to downloading custom mods called "Rolling Line Modding." (Located at https://www.rollinglinemodding.com)

I highly recommend Rolling Line to all railroad enthusiasts out there. It's a wonderful, inspiring game that lets you design your dream train layout, even if you can't make it become a reality. Gaugepunk does his best working on this game, and I feel that a message should be put out there to appreciate this amazing work.
