If you enjoy classical Yakuza's movies, there so much ambiance to be soaked in. The game has layers. the more you play it the more familiar with the characters, locations and branches of the scenario you get.
The combat is a tough beast to master but it allows a lot of creativity and has a very wide panel of techniques. be it with fists or weapons. I would definitely advise to begin in easy to get accustomed with it at first.
The pixel art and animations are wonderful, as with any creation of Yeo.
This is by far the game which has hooked me the most in 2023 and i played a lot of indies and AAA alike.
It is not for everyone but nothing which really shine at what it does is.
The only grief i got is theses @#$%&! guys throwing bottles at your head!!
This is infuriating ^^ i know...get good at dodging ^^

Starfield is a pretty game with functional combat and great ship building mechanics. That's pretty much all, the story and character are forgetable, the base building is meaningless. Inventory management is a nightmare. Played it to the end because i paid the full release price and it was hurting my feelings to have wasted money better invested in Devs who made the extra miles to make their game shine and value the time of their players. Go play No Man's Sky it's a better SF game.

Excellent story and unusual setting for an RPG. Plenty of colorful characters to discover. More of an RPG than most RPG. What you say define what you are. Definitely not a game for people which are not at ease in a game where most of the fun is about reading.

Nova Drift is an excellent Shoot them up with cool art style at the service of a good reading of the situation on screen.
It has an interesting and addictive use of tech trees/perks which make every run an opportunity to try new ways to fight.
Overall, it is really a game every shmup fan should try and even people who usually don't enjoy the genre could very well have a lot of fun with!

Sleeping dogs is a game which works particularly well on people who growned up watching Hong Kong movies. It has a compelling storyline and wonderful city. The combat system is excellent. Even if open world gta-like is a genre which is well furbished, Sleeping dogs stand apart as Asia is almost never the place where those games happen and it's quite refreshing. The only issue i've got with the game is the running animation which is a bit too stiff (you really can't unsee it, you just need to "live" with it). Hopefully one day Square Enix will make a sequel. The online version got canceled as it was not that good.

Ghost of a tale is a fantastic little story in which you'll follow an unbearably cute minstrel mouse who is searching for his wife Merra.
The ambiance, lights, animations are wonderful and even though it's the first game of SeithCG, the dev is a professionnal animator and it really shows in every little detail.
The game is playing as a Stealth Adventure game in which you'll try to remain as discrete as possible. You are playing a defenseless mouse and you'll need to trick your foes to advance further. You've got a diverse panel of tool to your disposal to help you in your task and you'll also be able to use disguise to blend in or boost your abilities.
The dialogues are often funny and the cast of characters is quite colorful.
The adventure last around 15 hours and we would have loved to remain a bit longer in that world.
We'll visit areas which have very interesting level design with plenty of shortcuts and side path to discovers, the game clearly reward people for paying attention to details. The overall map is not very big but what it lack in size, is balanced by how dense and well though these are organized.
It's a quite unique game, there are very little game which really make you feel like you're truly in a tale.
Definitely a must play.

I'm giving a temporary thumb up to the game as even though the game in his current state is far from being very enjoyable, the dev team's dedication to bring back The Guild from the dead is already fantastic!
The Dev team roadmap is pretty much one big patch per month and if they follow the schedule the game should make steady progress until it reach a much better state.
Golemlabs worked previously on a pretty deep game called Superpower which was a global geopolitical simulation so it's quite sure they won't shy away from complexity.
The Guild 2 developpement was bumpy to say the least and despite that 4head studios managed to create a little bit broken yet wonderful game.
Hopefully Golemlabs with the support of THQ Nordic will give us an even deeper game!

Spiritlands is an interesting take on two pretty different genre; City builders and Clickers. Being hostile to any might be a no go for you.
Still if you don't mind the clicking you might find a relaxing and visually appealing (if you like pixel art of course) game.
The biggest flaw are probably the UI which need quite a lot of refining as we are litterally stuck between 4 huge and necessary panels which let very few screen space to play. (edit : It is now possible to resize the UI!)
The game also needs ways to hightlight the different kind of buildings. As the city sprawl threw the lands we lose a lot of clarity. (edit2-> this point seems to be adressed, they added a simplified view)
As the Devs (who previously worked on the pretty cool Project Abyss) fixed these issues it is most definitely to be a thumb up.

Clicker Heroes is an harcore RPG version of an experiment involving scientists and a pigeon taught to press a button to get food. except in this version human is pretty much the bird.
It is very fun, very addictive.
If you are bored and got plenty of time to kill by all means go for it!
If you value every minute of your time, please stay away from this game it will litterally burn precious hours of your time without your consent and demand considerable effort of will to stop clicking.
