All Remembrance Bosses Defeated.
All Open World Bosses Defeated.
All Scadutree Fragments Collected.

After finally completing and exploring everything this game had to offer, this DLC was more than satisfactory. It really felt like I was playing a sequel instead. The difficulty was there but it didn't seemed entirely impossible despite the ever long lasting chain of combos from some bosses. Fair note that I was doing a Guts build throughout the entire expansion. Regardless whether how challenging it was, most bosses were entirely fun and engaging.

As always, FromSoft delivered another fine piece of entertainment. I look forward to their next project. However, I just wish they bring back Kuon...

Persona 3 Reload is a magnificent RPG experience in its own right.
I started craving for JRPGs since December and after finishing Persona 5 Royal, this game just happened to be launching around the corner. In anticipation for P3R's release, I started familiarizing myself with the PS2 FES version of the game and after getting a sense of both directions of these games, I say P3R had definitely exceeded my expectations for a remake title of a beloved classic.

The remake took many aspects of the original title and basically enhanced it without trying to stray itself too far from the original. Most of these changes I would argue are improved and well implemented that made the game more newcomer friendly for those who are not familiar with the franchise. In a sense, the remake accomplished its job of trying to be a well crafted entry for newcomers and veterans.

However, I must object to say that P3R is one of the many examples of SEGA/ATLUS' taken advantage of the consumer. I dislike their business methodology of selling parts of the content such as The Answer to help garner further revenue streams. P3 FES, a PS2 title from '07 was a complete package and now we're expected to purchase a part of that content down the line if we want to have the full experience of the game.

Regardless, Persona 3 Reload is certainly worth the cost on its own. The narrative and its characters are uniquely interesting and no doubt you will find yourself deeply invested throughout the game. I never found myself bored nor dissatisfied during my two playthroughs and that in itself was a huge improvement after Persona 5 Royal. If you're already a fan of JRPGs and you haven't touch this game yet, I highly reckon you do so.

It's honestly a fantastic game, given the fact I'm a die hard Team Ninja enthusiast. After giving the game a go with all the remaining DLCs released, I've never had a negative experience during my playthrough. Performance was solid (in my experience) for the most part and overall the game's design was really good and enjoyable.

I really can't think of a major flaw to not recommend it, unless you were coming in expecting a Nioh 3, to which I would argue that's obviously not what this game was trying to accomplish. I prefer offset ideas such as Wo Long for Team Ninja to spice things up.

Firstly, I WOULD NOT recommend this game solely on the fact Rockstar's Launcher is one the worst programs to ever exist. You'll likely face issues every now and then and it can be a headache to deal with. Secondly, this is by far the most inferior version of GTA IV with constant bugs and not so great optimization, as well with no online/multiplayer functionality.

That being said, I still recommend the fact you SHOULD get this game as overall it's a masterpiece iteration from its franchise. Has one of the best and most interesting narratives with fun sandbox features. The gameplay feels heavy and gunplay is satisfying. DLCs are some of the best with even more added features and more replayability. Despite some of its more dated mechanics, it's not really a huge detriment factor.

The only real issues I have with the game itself was how much of a terrible experience when it came for searching the collectibles that doesn't properly track without relying on a guide. It made 100%ing this game a real pain.

To also note, modding the game to fix most of the issues would definitely enhanced your experience if you're willingly to try. And because there's seems to be a sizable increase of modders making their way for this specific version, the game might have a chance of longer longevity down the road.

UPDATE 3/1/24
While my current thoughts on the game still hasn't really wavered. I will still revamp this review once the Shattered Space Expansion and the Creation Kit releases. In the meantime, I will point out that Sweet Baby Inc., known for their propaganda consultant towards game development also worked on this game listed as one of the game's production assistants.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
This is not a seamless immersive space sim!
This is a Bethesda RPG at its core with some cosmic flavor!
And that's perfectly okay.

I've been waiting for a while to play this game since Zenimax trademarked Starfield back in 2013 and after 100+ hours of playing this game, Starfield is everything I had hoped for it to be since its reveal.

I've completed all achievements, done all the main quests, all the faction related quests and majority of the side quests. There's still plenty of of what the game has to offer including the NG+ content. My recommendation is to take the time beat the game and not rush the main quest at all, you'll be doing yourself a disservice if otherwise.

Some of Starfield's Strengths:

Regarding the game's combat and overall gameplay, it's a overhaul of Fallout 4's gunplay and mobility, being able to ledge grab and mantle is seriously a game changer. Boostpacking is quite fun too.

Exploration is definitely there and enjoyable but it feels unrewarding at times due to the large scope of the procedural created worlds. Because of how big the generated cells are for each planet, you're definitely going to be running and boostpacking majority of the time, just a fair warning.

Ship combat and movement itself is pretty fun despite its simplicity and lack of versatility aside from just roaming a single planet's orbit. I myself enjoyed just designing my ship and hope that there would be proper interior customization.

Inon Zur's Score.

This game does have notable issues that should be addressed:

Several gripes I had with this game while playing kept sticking out to me:

The Quest Design feels like a glorified fetching simulator. You'll find yourself doing similar quests especially in the main story where you have to go to Planet Y to find a object return back Planet X and then go to Planet Z and repeat. If it weren't for the emergent gameplay and some of the best handcrafted content, it'll definitely be a massive slog to go through.

Adding on, Part of the gameplay loop you'll be playing with is having to traverse from one star system to another through several different menus. Now I don't have any issues with fast traveling and menu navigation but it does get pretty ridiculous when you forgot about something from a previous planet and you have to fight through several menus and search a scatter plot of star systems because they aren't label. I was able to get use to the navigation and even recognized many of the locations but it's definitely a annoying experience for the first 10 or 15 hours of the game.

My personal and biggest grip with this game is while it has ambition, it also lacks innovation. Despite Starfield's huge scale of the game featuring all the new tech that Todd's been talking about for the past five years, the game fails to introduces anything new in comparison to their previous RPGs. This is likely due to BGS wanting to play it safe after the fiasco of controversies from Fallout 4 and 76 trying to be different from their predecessors. Other than ship mechanics, Starfield just feels like a standard Fallout experience at most.

Technical Performance

Aside from crashes at the first 2 hours, the game ran exceptionally well. I played this game on a 4K Monitor with a RTX 3080 and Ryzen 9 7900x and mostly gotten around 60-70 fps (cities are 40-50 fps) on mostly ultra settings. Honestly baffled to see so many performance complaints even with users with high end tier machines but I guess either some games just hate certain rigs or they're just spoiled that their 4090s is not making them run well passed 120+fps.

No, this is not the engine's fault for the performance and other issues. There are bugs and glitches in every game no matter how well optimized they are. So many tech illiterates believed if Bethesda just gets a 'new' engine, performance and graphical fidelity would magically be better. This is not true, Starfield has proven that BGS were able to implement entirely new systems such as scripting, rendering, lighting and animation. So yes, they did get a new engine via upgrading all of their other systems the same way how Epic Games upgrades their engine with UE or Rockstar's RAGE engine that started out as a tennis game until it was changed and upgraded enough to be utilized for bigger projects.

The main issue of all the jank and weirdness you see from Bethesda games is they stuck with the old pipeline of their development cycle since Netimmerse and hadn't changed since then.

I would say this however, I find it unacceptable that basic QoL features such as FoV, HDR Calibration, Brightness/Contrast, etc. are bring roll through updates instead of being in the base game to begin with.

Final Thoughts

Starfield is a good game as worst if you like modern Bethesda RPGs. I loved this game a lot and it is definitely Todd Howard's magnum opus until ESVI's release. But to be honest, this game feels like a massive blueprint for the Modding community to help shape the game to be something as a true masterpiece in the future which isn't a bad thing in itself but I would rather prefer if the game was excellent on its own.

Anyways, 9/10 game. Here's to another five to ten years of playing and modding a Bethesda RPG until the next one comes out.

Terrible company, terrible practices and I still play it because I'm a good little blizzard consumer. Avoid at all costs.

It's pretty good, but it gets too easy after Soldier of Godrick.

It's good! After that mistake of a game known as REmake 3, this was two major steps forward when it came to adapting from the original. Though, I personally believe that og RE4 is still the superior version. This is actually the most faithful REmake (Not counting 2002 RE1 Remake) so far in this franchise.

Now Capcom, do Code Veronica.

With the new patches, the game is more playable compare to launch, although there are still some technical issues but either way the game is great on its own. I'm just glad we finally got Fatal Frame on PC and here's hoping the other titles will soon follow.
