This is the best horror game released in quite awhile.

The graphics are outstanding for what they are, we've seen this style of animation before (Cat Lady being one of them) but this game in particular does it possibly the best I think the style can be done.
The entire game itself is pretty much a mass of little puzzles, even down to confrontations with the many ghosties that haunt this realm. Each creature you encounter has it's own mechanics that you have to deal with, they all vary quite significantly.
Death is not the end, you will 'respawn' and be given little hints and lore about the creature that managed to murder you, it's an extremely small detail but one I adore significantly.
The story is set heavily in the war turmoil of China in Taiwan during the 50's, and you don't have to be a history buff or even know anything about the happenings during this time period to understand the atmosphere and mental mindset of the characters due to it portrayed in this game, it hits close to home regardless of where your home happens to be.

My only problems are that some of the puzzles are pretty outlandish, despite that the puzzles in question still provide a shock and contemplation. So you could easily mark it off as "Point and Click Adventure game mechanics" or, quite simply, surrealism, like the Silent Hill franchise.
Around three quarters through the game, there are no more 'enemies'. Just puzzles and lots of story/dialog/plot. Which isn't incredibly bad, but the few enemies in the game are incredibly well designed (The lingered are possibly some of the creepiest designs in gaming) and animated, to never see them again after a point was rather disappointing.

I would have easily paid much more for this game and felt satisfied, in contrast to my enjoyment of it currently, the price is merely pocket change and should not deter anyone from giving it a shot.

If anyone, other than me, remembers a game that came out around 2007 simply called Fury. It was developed by Auran software and was also made in Unreal. The concepts between the two games are very similar, boasting a heavy dominance on PvP style arena matches with as many as 8 people. Fighting can at times be chaotic and nearly unmanageable, amplified by how much panic the user themselves are experiencing. Customizable and unlockable moves as well as armor and weapons, destructable armor (Both male and female, sorry SJW's) and quite a few extremely satisfying fatality style moves that can be preformed mid match on opponents that find themselves in the dangerous groggy state...

If you are like me and remember Fury and actually had fun playing it, you will have fun playing this. Server lag aside, the sheer amount of visceral chaos this game provides has hardly been done previously, probably because most people would find it to be a negative. There is no doubt in my mind that this game belongs to a niche`.

The main issue people seem to have with this game is the NA servers being completely barren, and that is sadly very true. You'll be lucky to see one other people on the game, and this is a very distressing state of affairs, but the only way to rectify it, is to spread the word and play it. The second part of that is much easier the moment most people realize it exists.

Music is exceptional, story is very dark and depressing, art is beautiful... Would love to see more from this studio

I think I already bought this at one point?

It's Euro Truck Simulator 2... With big rigs, desert, distance is measured in miles and you are allowed to drive on the right side of the road. Checklist complete.

Own the game, have played it, no idea what is happening most of the time and my brain can't explain what my eyes are seeing but it keeps telling me i am having fun. I agree with my brain.

The most moddable game ever created, which is what you honestly have to do if you want to fully enjoy it... The base game itself is buggy and a mess, even while being somewhat graphically impressive, but once you start adding in a vast quantity of player made mods (For free) the game changes drastically in the most beautiful ways possible... Modding can be daunting if you've never done any modding before, but this game is a good starter point in the fine art...

It's Magic, but free, far prettier, and a lot less complicated...
