I have definitely more than 4k hours in all the Destiny games combined. While it is true that the game is a grind and has major dry spells of content, as long as it is played in moderation you will always have something to do for more than half the year. That's more that I can say about a lot of games these days.

Honestly amazing game. Low stress, super good attention to detail.

Lots of consistent updates that change the way you play very often, and add new mechanics and streamline old ones. They have a blog where they detail all new design decisions, and the game is super moddable adding all sorts of silly or serious stuff.

I put hundreds of hours into this game and bought most of the DLC as soon as it came out, and loved every moment of it. The price to enjoyment ratio of the game was phenomenal, but one of the main reasons I supported and preordered this game was because Overkill promised to never put in microtransactions. Now that they have, and not only just skins, but added stat boosts as well to it, I will never touch their games ever again. Lying to the community is not cool, and we need to start sending that message to the gaming industry who is trying to screw us more and more through their sleezeball behavior that we seem to accept. As a competitive player, even in coop, I also hate the idea that someone can be objectively better equipped than me because they spent money on a randomized drop system.

Time to start playing this again

Update: Picked up the game again, after a break it is refreshing again.
