Sure, this game isn't anywhere near as 'mechanically in-depth' as it's other extreme sports-adjacent contemporaries like THPS for example, but that's okay. What this game set out to do since day one, it has ultimately still accomplished and then some.

I know the comparisons to JSR are played out to hell and back (seeing as it wears it's inspiration proudly on it's sleeve), but for the few areas it doesn't shine in compared to that series, it still makes up for in other areas without a doubt. Granted, this isn't really the type of game you go into for it's story outright; As insane as some of the plot points are in JSRF, there's plenty of twists and turns that capture that same energy here in the vibrant backdrop of New Amsterdam.

While I doubt there's ever gonna be a sequel or future DLC for that matter, that's totally fine. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk had done it's job well and proved there's still very much a devoted fanbase for games similar to it's caliber. Since SEGA sure as hell isn't going to do anything themselves about the demand.

Pair that with how quickly the modding scene (There's freaking multiplayer for this game already!) had grown since it's release and you've got something you can always come back to, long after getting every achievement and collectible.

Simply put, it's fun and very much worth your time.

EDIT: Welp, way to make me eat my own freakin' words then SEGA. But my point still stands.
