Commentatron

Commentatron is one of the robots in the duo that makes up the commentators. Only the top half of his torso is visible, as he is behind a table. He has a deep, dark voice. He is a robot with a rather large chest, resembling a muscular man. He has a black suit, headset, red eyes, and reddish hair accessories. As his name suggests, he will usually make comments on what the player is doing and what the outcome of the level was. He will often wave his arms around while speaking, and is notably more expressive than Analysis-bot, he views the user and watches him burn
In one of his lines, Commentatron asks Analysis-bot what his relationship with Purple Shep is, referencing the fact that Analysis-bot uses the same voice as Purple Shep.
In another one of his lines, Commentatron says that he loves the smell of energy swords in the morning, revealing that he has a "nose" installed.
In one of his lines, Commentatron proposed the idea that he and Analysis-bot should form a band (although he calls it a "popular musical act" due to robot speech patterns).
If you use the camera, you can see that he has legs, and has been standing up the whole time. His legs seem thin and awkward when compared to the rest of his body.
He appears to be a re-purposed mark 2 sword robot, or some sort of sword robot, presumed by his body shape.
In chapter 4, he can be seen when the human diplomat is sent to the arena to "negotiate."

Analysis-bot

"Soon all the humans will be garbage!"

Analysis-bot is one of the robots in the duo that make up the commentators. Due to his small size, he sits on the table that Commentatron stands behind. He has no limbs at all, black coat, green eyes and accessories, and as the name suggests, he will often analyze what the player is doing and the upcoming level, occasionally answering questions from Commentatron.
In the ending cutscene of chapter 3, we get a look inside one of the Harvester Fleet ships. Inside, we see what appears to be a command center, with four robots that are the same model as Analysis-bot, just with military uniforms and different eye pieces. In chapter 4, they are revealed to be ship officers, specifically Logistics, Warfare, Mind Space, and Infantry.
In one line, Commentatron asks Analysis-bot about his relationship with Purple Shep. Analysis-bot quickly responds with "I don't know Purple Shep! We are not best friends!”
However, in another line, when Commentatron asks him about Purple Shep, he replies that they share the same voice modulator.
During the Random upgrade challenge, he mentions that if he had arms, he would like them to be the same as Upgrade bot's.
The Harvester ship officers had emergency combat modes, which included flight, flamethrowers, shooting arrows from their mouths, charging at the player, and sword wielding (although they needed to use their mouths to do so). It is unknown if Analysis Bot has these abilities as well.
In Chapter 4, Analysis-bot can be briefly seen when the human diplomat is sent to the arena to "negotiate."
Analysis-bot is apparently a big fan of Spider-Tron 5000 and Spider-Tron 6000. In one quote he says that "[he] likes robots that analyse things!
In multiple lines during story and endless mode, we are shown that Analysis-bot displays an interest in poetry. Some of his lines follow some sort of rhyme scheme, usually followed by commentatron applauding his poetic abilities.

The Commentators

The Commentators are a duo of robots who add colorful comments (Red being Commentration bot and Green being Analysis bot) before and after each battle. They do not comment during battle unless a Spidertron gets cut by a saw blade or the player hits their booth. The Commentators give information on the upcoming level and make remarks about the chosen upgrades. These are often humorous, sarcastic, or even rude. The commentators are displayed on screens on each wall of the arena, and on four screens in the upgrade area. If the player manages to get up to their booth in the arena, a force field will blast the player back. The Commentators cannot be harmed. Their true thoughts on the player is unknown, as they appear to want to see the player die at one point, and at other points, they appear to favor the player. The commentatrion bot did not tell analysis bot that he had a nose installed!!

Trivia
When using photo mode inside the commentators box, you can see that Commentatron is standing on a thin ledge with the end of his toes.

On the nintendo switch varyient on one level commentstron say spider tro on instead of just spider tron if you listen closely

As of April 25th 2021 this is a post update review and what not, just some time after the update was released. If you plan on reading all of this, get comfy cuz this'll take a while. There's not much to explain about what to really do in the game, it's a dating game, that's all. But I'll be sharing my experiences and hopefully not one sided opinions to get you intrigued. Before anything, I'll talk about the cons that I have with the game then the good things.

Okay, so the first bad thing in this game, or really just a gripe that I have are glitches. Since the post update very few are still around but I've ran into some within the time span of how long I've been following the game. A kind of major glitch that I have experienced is whenever you save a choice scene before a character before then making the choice and so on. If you load up the choice scene again in case you wanted to redo something or changed your mind, there is a chance that the character will appear but not a text box, therefore forcing you to exit the game and open it back up, still not being able to work properly. It's uncommon from what I've seen but it's always a worry. Another glitch is when the character who you're speaking with usually has a chance of spawning without a head or a body, I haven't seen much of it post update but pre-update that stuff usually happened whenever I was on my second date with Lex.

Next, this is still a nitpick but I think it's a heavy flaw the game has to a degree. Replayabilty. So in the game's description there are 9 dateable characters (does Coby really count as a date though?) and that's about it, there's 9 characters and you go on three dates with them with of course the idea is to get the "good" ending, which usually is possible even on a first attempt. So why do I question replayability on this game? Well the game dies as soon as it's resurrected, it's pretty sad though. The fact that once you 100% everything, make every choice or succeed with every character, you're just stuck in your room for eternity since you can't do much anymore. This is a flaw bigger than the glitches though maybe this was intentional and they didn't expect someone to try and get 50 hours in-game time (Imma do that). The only really thing I'd suggest is that they make some of the characters in the background at Club Amorous actually date-able, or maybe have small side stories. If I even need dig deeper then they could make more and different sex scenes for each characters. I do believe they should make more character stories rather than continue the original 9 since usually stories like that can be botched easily but I'm not saying it's not possible to execute that. I just see the lack of replayability a loss of potential for how much more successful the game could've been. But eh, I digress.

I guess that was really all the gripes I had with the game, one was meh and the other was just a personal opinion, if you were only here for the cons then that's fine but if you wish to continue, this section is gonna be a lot longer since it's about all the goods the game does in my opinion.

Gonna just get this one out here first, the music. My god...did the composer outdo themselves on this games soundtrack, like it's just...great. So here's how I'll some up the music, different genres that give off a respective feeling to the current . My favorite song is "Happy Jazz ♥♥♥♥" (the credits theme) which sounds kinda like it sounds, but it's way better than you'd think. I've listened to one too many video game ost's growing up but Amorous just has a special one to me. The soundtrack makes you feel emotions, like it has a power to change you outlook and emotions on things. That kinda sounded vague but I'll get into it when I talk about the characters. I didn't even know this was possible for a song to make me feel different emotions, either I'm sensitive or taking the game too seriously, not that I'm ashamed of that. The music is absolutely fantastic, not just by 2018 standards but even today it outmatches some of the best video game ost's. Amorous' music can capture so many emotions with it's simple yet jazzy feel in music, the music always fits the scenerio no matter what it is. I think how I can best sum up my love for the credits theme is how it makes me feel at the end. It's the end and I was successful, found love and happy with who I'm with and only would want to know what we'd do next after that. That's how it hits me, a feeling that makes my own heart understand...holy damn am I making this dramatic? Eh, oh well.

So enough of the music, the characters. Visually, every character looks very well designed, almost never having an exact type of design nor personality. They're like snowflakes, no two character is the same, and even if there is a very specific scenario where a character acts like another one, it usually doesn't last too long. Every character is different and has their own problems that they admit to you. The thing with Amorous, is that within a small time frame (three dates remember) they've accomplished so much character development, and like anyone who gets into dating games you'll definitely feel whatever feeling whenever a character admits something to you, whether it's your first run or whatever time you're replaying it. I'll admit that I like all 9 characters but I personally favor Mercy, Skye, Seth, Lex and Remy over the other four. I especially like Mercy and Lex's character development towards you, But Skye and Seth do also come in close as they have a wholesome and cute feeling to their arcs. As I said, if you take this seriously or what not it makes the game more enjoyable in my opinion, as you've been through these scenarios with these characters, they've admitted stuff and so have you, forming an unbreakable bond with, in the end it makes the final sex scene of the stories more satisfying to watch and enjoy the dialogue. If you at least give the game an hour of your time you'll feel different, whether you notice or not.

If you were expecting a paragraph about the sex scenes, just play the game to find that out, I will say they did give you the option to play sfw mode, but that kinda takes away from the entire game's idea really, just like the topless and bottomless feature, but if you want to play that way then go ahead, you can go ahead and find out the scenes and know that literally no one can bash you for liking this game's scenes. Can guarantee 90% of the people probably saw something along the same lines so this ain't no different.

This is part is smaller but I'll talk about the game's effects on me. I won't get into too much stuff about myself but this game is the only game I play to cope with. I guess cuz of how I perceive it, something like Amorous to me is an underrated game that I love to come back here and there. Hell, sometimes this game helped me with an outlook on life and changed that. Maybe that's just me, but I'll always hold this game close to me for reasons that would be sorta difficult yet idiotic sounding if that makes sense. I think this game does deserve more credit other than being a joke on the furry fandom. And for as long as I've been in the fandom, I've seen plenty of things worse than this. But I guess Normies and Anti-furs won't realize that.

Just a last thing here is that if there's ever a dlc for this game or another update, buying/downloading as soon as I see it. I know the game to some degree is dead, but I hope my idea of making some more characters in a future update or spin-off game of Amorous can be implemented, but I'm got gonna moan about it forever so might as well get those 50 hours that I said I would.

For my final part, the game's story is up to your imagination really, so only you can choose and predict the outcomes. Peace to you all
