Going into this game completely blind is highly, HIGHLY recommended. That said, I can describe my emotions during my experience to get you an idea of what the game is like:

I went in completely blind. Found the experience cute and charming at first. Without spoiling anything, you fly around in space. I found this absolutely terrifying, tugging at this visceral terror reminiscent to thalassophobia with space (think Subnautica). I was petrified to fly around and land on another planet. At one point, I underestimated the ship's thrusters and hurled off into nowhere in space. I got scared, turned off the game, and decided that this may be better experienced watching a playthrough. So I uninstalled it.

Two hours later I reinstalled and played more. There was a lot of cool stuff going in that I saw in space; I couldn't stop wondering what exactly they were. And what little story I had barely unearthed on the starting planet piqued my curiosity a lot. I started to explore more, get more comfortable with everything, and I started to figure out and understand a lot of how this game's world operated. If you enjoy that feeling of Eureka that gives you a dopamine rush in mystery or detective games, this game is like finding that emotion on steroids. I was so, so curious. Curious enough where that horror of space or fear of the unknown didn't hold me back from exploring.

That sentiment is at the heart of this game. Not everyone feels that same kind of fear like I did, but I know of at least a few that had similar experiences. It's a little intimidating, but you have an entire solar system sandbox to run around and play in, and going in with zero idea of what's involved is ideal. The DLC is also highly recommended, although it kicks up more of the horror vibes but not in any way being as bad as a horror game.

If any of that remotely sounds up your alley, buying this game and going in with zero expectations will leave you with an incredible experience so rarely found in video games.
