After playing hundreds of pixel games like this I can honestly say that I really love this game. There are few things that I want to make note of before I get into my review.

First of all, the character movement can be a bit buggy and wonky at times; mainly with using and scaling the terrain, however it is not that big of a deal. I also ran into a few weird bugs but nothing game breaking.

I want to start with by saying the music of this game is incredible. It gets you scared, mystified, happy, sad, and all sorts of emotions that are hard for me to describe with words(which is why I recommend the game). Its enchanting and has you at every turn and never misses a beat. The music really drives this story.

The pixel art is AMAZING. I love the style and adore the character design to death. The backgrounds are interesting and the enemies are scary. Each character has a very unique feel and their own mechanics that are intuitive and give a sense that you have indeed switched characters. Each character has their own unique movement mechanics as well, just to reinforce the fact that each character is independent of one another. This really gives them their own real identity in the world.

The story makes you think about the realities of each character and how they play into the whole message that the game is trying to tell. The story is not repetitive and is told in a way that makes you think in a larger picture. However, the only issue that I have with the story is the end. I don't want to spoil it to much but I feel that the writers kind of just tell you what happened rather then letting the "mind" wonder so to speak. The ending, however, is still very cute and makes you really reflect and makes you think about events in reality. I know that this story really hit home for me and really made me think.

I love this game and would highly recommend it if you are interested in a narrative and beautiful told story.

This is great way to sink thousands of hours playing with your best friends. Love the everything about this game from just the simply aspects to the more technical stuff. This game has everything.
