Recurring Issues with the game that never seem to go away and have existed since launch:
- The game tends to destabilize itself after every major patch
- Balance patches suck the fun out of the game and feel like the developers have the philosophy of nerfing anything that gets used frequently but not buffing anything else in exchange

Assault Horizon, despite being labelled "Ace Combat", should be thought of as a quite enjoyable fast-paced standalone arcade game by Project ACES. Trust me, a lot of problems are immediately solved by doing this.

Assault Horizon has quite a few noticeable scripting issues (Markov, Trinity, a few TGT_LEADs) with one having to purposefully put in extra effort to go out of the way and play through the story without using DFM. However, unscripted DFM (i.e. DFM used in Multiplayer) is ridiculously fun, and is probably the only time I've enjoyed using it. I found quite a few levels dull and uninteresting (such as the door-gunner and AC130 sections) and felt the story was a bit too generic and drawn-out.

On a music level however: It's Keiki Kobayashi. 118/10. Every track on this OST is amazing.

Final Recommendation: Buy it at a discount, it's a decent enough standalone experience. OST's worth full price though.

The fact that the developers continue to insult the community rather than respond in an actual, professional way over discussion and criticism is bad enough, but when the developers insult their community while also having such a blatant disconnect with their own game, it really just pushes everything a step too far. At least they've fixed stock jet max-speed modifications, it's the only thing they even bothered to fix.

EDIT: Turns out the stock jet max-speed modification thing was a "bug" that they've since gotten rid of again, fml.

Picks CM. Team goes Tiny, Sniper, Wisp, Natures prophet. Tiny throws me into enemy and leaves me to die. Wisp teleports me into enemy well. Natures Prophet traps me during a teamfight and leaves me to die. Sniper afks whole game. "Report CM for feed!" 10/10 best community & game.
