Absolutely amazing game! I remember playing this back when it was free in beta. I never really played much until recently, I was looking for osmething to play and my friend asked if Hammerwatch sounded like fun. So I booted it up and we met this guy who randomly joined our game, joined our discord, and we 'completed' the first map. ._. Damn wooden planks..

Overall, it's well worth the money if you have a friend to play with.

If you want a detailed review go read another one this was just my experience on why this game is now one of my favorites.

TL;DR :

Honestly it's a pretty amazing game! One of my favorite ARPG's, right behind Diablo II. The only thing that sort of puts me off is the desync, though it's just how the game was made, it's not bad servers or anything. They added two connection types so you can choose between the two depending on your internet and that helps a lot, but it's not perfect.

The most amazing part to me is the shocking amount of content being pumped out and the quality of that content. It's jaw dropping to see a dev team pushing so hard to make the game the best they can while keeping their players happy with new content. It would take me thousands of hours before i've experienced every piece of content in this game. From the acts, quests, maps, and the TONS of different and unique ways to build your characters. This is hands down one of the best games I've ever played.

It takes a while to get into the character building side of things, but what you should do, is have an idea of what you want to play. Just think what sounds the coolest. Then find a build on the forums closest to what you want, open the skill tree on the website, and modify it slightly to match whatever you want to do! It makes it so much easier and you have a guide on leveling and what skills to take at what levels.

The best part about it is it's F**KING FREE! You have nothing to lose! and if you want, for only 20 bucks you can unlock SO many stash tabs. Well worth it. I'd be happy if i payed $60 for the game.

10/10 would profit from again. Bought on sale for $0.19 sold cards for $0.25.

With the 200+ hours i've spent playing this on an Intel HD 3000 Graphics card and the 22 fps i've gotten i have to say this game is pretty damn fun and even better when i got to play it on a good pc. It has bugs but its covered up my the great gunplay... ha.

Its a game that does a thing games do and i like what it does so its a game that does good game things that more game things should do. the only problem with this game is that thing it does but thats washed away with the other game things this game does so this game is has one of the best game things you'll find in a game like this game thing.

Cool little game, i really like the way it plays.

Honestly for the 74 cents i bought the 2 pack for that i got from selling trading cards i dont use. This game is totaly worth it. Verry fun game to pick up and play with a friend when you want to have a good laugh or are just bored of all the serious games. Does not require a good pc at all and has some fun gameplay. Couldnt see myself playing it for hours like most games, but its one of those little gems you have in your library like Super Hexagon. Good game, worth the money! Also has ragdoll physics.
