F1 25 – Worth it?

- Graphics and latest DLSS, FSR, Path Tracing technology.
- Dirty air when driving behind another car.
- Tire wear creates options for tactics.
- Ground effect in cars seems to work more realistically.
- Car adjustments have more impact than before which is a good thing.
- The content challenges of the F1 movie are by far the best innovation and hopefully similar ones will be added in the future. Very positive thing.
- The game works more stably and stuttering is minimal. Seems well optimized.
- Supports steering wheels and game controllers extensively.

Story - Braking Point 3

As Kimi would say... “bwoah” This is the 3rd version of the Braking Point story. And it doesn’t really bring anything new. Updated content and the same drama and phone ringing in between. Some people like this but I think this is worn out and it would be time for a new story.

Career Mode

Career mode, especially in MyTeam mode, is an excellent innovation. Your job is to be a manager and race with the drivers you hire. This career mode is perhaps the best way to understand the complexity of the F1 world, from drivers, car development and staying within budget throughout the season. Build the necessary buildings for your team and negotiate contracts. It is interesting to develop cars and facilities at what stage it makes sense to invest in what.

The multiplayer seems to work and crossplay makes it even better when you can play with a group of friends on different platforms.

Problems

In career mode, the AI is really strong on some tracks or downright terrible. On straights, the AI doesn't feel air resistance, even if you drive with 0/0 wings, you still can't keep up with the AI's speed.

The AI's ability to race alongside and make moves that make overtaking difficult has been significantly improved. Unfortunately, these vary depending on the track and sometimes the AI is really lacking in acting logically.

Rainy weather is generally completely unacceptable. There is simply no grip. Tire changes and actions should have been made for rain tires as well. The AI drives like it's glued and has superior straight-line speed even in the rain.

Summary

The game is a step in the right direction. There are problems in the early stages and I hope the game will be tuned for better in the future. At the moment, I would give it a rating of 7.5/10 (I will update the rating later as the game develops.)

Do I recommend buying it – Yes, especially if you are an F1 fan or like track racing. Is the game a full simulation, then no. If you're not sure if you'll like the game, buy it later at a discount. As an F1 fan myself, I bought the Iconic Edition because it has Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari on the cover! <---(Vanity - definitely my favorite sin. ;))
