If you want an immersive world with balanced gameplay and finished features and want to spend long hours modding and fixing that one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ problem with that one file .dll that didn't unblock because you installed it after another mod accidentally and you uninstall the whole thing trying to fix it and have to download it again which takes all day and then- ah ♥♥♥♥ it... You get the idea.

Play it if you love the medieval ages or want to learn about it but give the game time as it is actually pretty hard but is excellent.

I'm abash to say that even though this will be getting a positive review, keep in mind that this is because there is no actual number scale, if there were, this would get about a 6.5 meaning... meh

CD strove to high this time but luckily managed to achieve mediocrity all across the board. Maybe me and everyone else is saying this way too soon but I have no love clouds or buyers remorse fogging my vision, Until further notice performance on release is abysmal- with recommended specs barely clipping 30 -and all the gameplay and levelling just feeling like a tech demo. Which would be unacceptable if not for the fact that this was not only hyped up so much, but also expanded upon. CD may make RPGs but there was no excuse for a RPG with a focus on combat to be mediocre even if they don't specialize in it, for the profits gained from this new IP would have easily covered outsourcing costs.

I must say I am disappointed now but am hopeful it will be turned into a gem. But everyone was right, too much hype and all. Pearls before swine and all that.

I like it, as true as dnd gets without the actual thing, no RtwP bs, just larian using WotC material. If you go EA though, be warned about the bugs and slight technical issues, i'll just tell you now, if you have trouble at the beginning running it exit and using DX11 and update your drivers, it still needs some optimizing but don't let the review bombs dissuade you. If you love dnd or DoS you'll love this

♥♥♥♥ game, so much potential down the drain. Balance is an infinitely voided issue for the devs... they expected to unironically have a specifically limited 3 direction attack system that favors defenders and suspected that lacking combos and weak guess based combat would sail this game through. Apart from the months (to ACTUAL years in some cases for me being a raider and lawbringer main) that it takes for ubisoft to implement their changes that by far always manage to ♥♥♥♥ up the game more than previously.

--------I'll cut to the meat of it; ♥♥♥♥ devs, money grab, ♥♥♥♥ balance, ♥♥♥♥ updates, okay graphics, ♥♥♥♥ learning curve, ♥♥♥♥ community, predatory tier list balance, and plenty of "fun characters" are completely unplayable and no one of import or new upbringing will play it and stay.---------

these hours do not account for my 500+ on xbox one, And i easily go on streaks in ranked (which you'll never find matches for) so skill is not an issue.

this is one of the few games I worked my ass off for to preorder as a console-ling, I beamed at the mere mention of this game and was so giddy when it dropped and it was the only thing I played forever. Keep this in mind. All of the hours that I spent enjoying this game were with friends, and when we were isolated and alone. My only regret is not doing this sooner to save some poor soul money.

Good game, not as bad as people think, just iffy or unfun at times but friends easily fix this. waited 3 years for this and i have to say, i'm not dissapointed
