I wasn't sure about a Total War game with a fantasy theme but I have to say... it's awesome! It runs well, looks great, and the Warhammer theme is a great fit. If your hesitant because you like the historical titles I think you need to give it a go before passing judgement.

Gameplay and story were pretty terrible. Can't recommend this one.

The first of the Total War series to have 3D models for units. It was and still is an amazing game.

This was one of the first games I purchased with my own money back in the 90's and I still find it fun! I recommend it to people who played the original and want to re-live those memories.

It had a rough launch but I can say as it stands now it's a great achievement and a worthy addition to the Total War franchise. Sure, it has its problems, like any game with such grand scope, but choose to overlook the issues and be absorbed in to the broader experience and it's still one of the best strategy games money can buy.

As with any of the Total War games the attraction is in forging your empire through turn based strategy and watching battles come to life in real time tactical combat with thousands of units at your command. Follow objectives to loosely play out history or break the mold and make your own history, the beauty of any open world game is freedom to play how you want.

The Roman empire is a fasinating period and the world map will have you fighting naked barbarians in the frozen forests of northern Europe one day and chariots in the desserts of Egypt the next. Although I loved Shogun 2 (and it is the better of the two), I really enjoy the cultural and geographic variety that comes with Rome II.

There is nothing more here than walking around a randomly generated island taking in the ambient music and visuals. There is an end though which only takes about 30 minutes to reach. It's more like listening to a sound track rather than playing a game. Relax, take it in, I'm not going to keep playing it but I enjoyed my time with it.

This game is a hilarious look at the corruption of DLC by greedy publishers. It may only take a couple of hours to finish but it's highly amusing and well worth the asking price.
