Very fun game. Highladdin approves.

My first ever Tekken game was Tekken 5. I enjoyed it alot since I've been playing fighting games since I was a kid.
After replaying Tekken 5 lots of times for replay completion, I wanted to try out the old games. Yeah I don't care about the graphics man, it's about the gameplay. And I REALLY LOVED IT.

When Tekken 7 was announced I was like woah, here's another Tk game :D.
And I have to say, the game has toned down the difficulty a bit. I can recommend this game to people new to tekken.

Pros:
-decent character roster
-difficulty for techs and mechanic skills toned down (well except maybe for story mode)
-Claudio's hopkick (u+4)
-new fireball mechanics (for people that are used to playing 2d fighter characters like akuma, geese, etc.)

Cons:
-It's a bit hard to learn at first when you're new to Tekken
-The game won't help you learn it's mechanics. No tutorial. Bless lord Aris.
-Even if it had a tutorial, it wouldn't be enough. There are more mechanics unexplained in tutorials especially the tutorial in Tekken Tag 2
-Online mode has a lot of winquitters, and spammers. (But that's your fault if you can't block spammer's patterns.)

Valve, please fix. Broken game. Broken hitboxes. Ruined r8.
Also fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hack check.

Still a fungood game.
