I heard great things about this game over the years and was looking forward to it now that I finally have a group to play with, but now it's a buggy mess.
It crashes constantly, you lose weapons/staves sometimes when you load into a new area. Largely unplayable. 6-7 crashed per hour, each resting weapons and dropping you in to the middle of fights unprepared, or just crashing upon load up.
If you aren't going to take care of your game so it is playable, remove it from the market.

I have always loved this game. Limited features in today's world, but jam packed full of stuff for it's time.
You could play in a dozen times to discover every secret. Though for the sake of your time, you might prefer a guide.
Only 1 terrible achievement 10k kills is a bit much.
Contrived Finish is much easier than people would expect due to the way the leveling mechanic works in 8.
The lack of native controller support is a strange choice, but myself and a few others have put up configs that make it near identical to the original game.
If you like Modding, there are tons that update graphics, music and make UI improvements.

I love this game. 54 hours played at time of posting, and I guarantee at least a couple hundred more.
I have been playing and collecting the physical version since it came out in 2012.
I owned all of it, and then bought it all again in this game. Here's the best part, the video game is just as good, if not even better.
A lot of questions and confusing situations have been cleanly resolved with the work the devs put into the pc release.
I have a friend group who were coming over multiple times a week to play it, because of Covid-19, we now play online.
There are a few things that could be done to tweak the UI and make it a little smoother, but it overall plays faster than the physical game and I haven't seen a single bug.
5/5 would buy more, if they would make more.

I liked the first one for some reason, and wanted to like this.
I tried all the difficulties, playing with others, collecting lore, weapons, upgrades and anything else I could think of. I never once felt like it was fun. It wasn't a good sequel or even a good homage to the old shooters of my younger years.

Every demon is just a reskinned zilla enemy. Every map is just a procedurally generated mess. The story bounces around with little cohesion and several continuity breaks. It tried to copy almost everything from borderlands. It tried to improve that system and ended up removing what actually made the first one fun.

It all feels like they tried to put out a game that on the surface looks like a full game but really took the lazy route of reusing as many assets as possible. I think there are in reality only 4-5 maps. Then each level pieces get slapped together at random to function as a stage.

Keyword here is lazy.

This game is very pretty. Its a simple, uobeat read.
It is also very average as far as stories go.
Only one choice in the game: Girl A, Girl B or Girl C.
It's like reading a romance light novel with sound, but no gameplay at all.

You would like this game if:
You like slightly off-white text on white backrounds.
You want to hold down a button the whole game while you also navigate coversations.
You need backround noise to fall asleep to.
You like story driven games with dialogue as fun as a conversation with your least favorite family memeber.
You want an achievement for looking at mediocre pictures, stories, and listening to rather generic instrumentals(not actually bad though).
You have a deep seeded fear of color.
You like your stories to be as colorful as the game.

Otherwise, you will probably be as bored as I was.

It's a nice short puzzle game. Nothing that you haven't seen before, but presented nicely.
Also the Dev's have the good courtesy to warn you that you are about to make certain achievements unobtainable.

Overall good and worth the 20 minutes you will spend on it. Just remember to leave it running for 4 more hours to get the cards.

I actually don't understand why this game is so highly rated.
It is an RPG that tried to do things in a Visual Novel style.
What I have garnerd from my limited time playing it is this:
The VN portion of the game is pointless and has no agency within the game. It's their because they wanted to do an RPG/VN. It serves no purpose.
The RPG protion of the game is sloppy. You have no way to gain consumables outside of combat. You have no place or way to rest/heal. The combat is slow, tedious and poorly designed. The basic attacks are worthless, so you end up in a ring of defending and healing just trying to get your party ready for the next fight. The character sprites could have used some variation other than hair.
Even on the hardest mode, their is no challenge. It just requires you to spend more time in the defend/heal/use special loop.
Moving the character on the map works best with mouse. Using the kyeboard is clunky.
Going through combat is best with the keyboard as using the mouse get tiresome quickly and you can accidently misclick quite easily.
Controller support might as well be yanked. Moving is sluggish, accessing menu's is unintuitive, and using special attacks sometime breaks it so that you can't do anything until you use the mouse/keyboard.
And finally the biggest question for a game: was it fun? The anser is no. It was slow, had no real story to speak of, troped characters and tedious combat that monopolizes the majority of the game.
I loved other games by the publisher, specifically LLTQ. So this game came as quite a let down.

It's a simple game, and reletively short. But it is fun.
Seeing the burly Dutchman sparta kick 9 Saxons across the screen never gets old.
Definitely worth the time to play. I look forward to further projects by the developer.

I bought this game to play with a gaming group, I can honestly say that this game is mostly chaos and largely dull.
The controls are clunky and it's unforgiving to new players.
If you enjoy mindless fun with no balace or mod regulation and doing the /exact/ same thing for hours on end, then this game is for you. I know people who enjoy it. I will never be one of them.
