Who thought it was a good idea for you to lose your entire inventory when you log off of a server? Really?! Not died, simply logged off for 5 minutes.

You know just because you made a game that lets players self immolate, doesn't mean you should emulate them. Edited 5/7 It is a great game but you about shot your foot off with the PSN account stuff.

I used to try to get all my friends to buy the game to play with me, sure it was buggy, but fun enough to work past the bugs. No other game has quite the scope from ground survival to traversing the stars. I no longer recommend this game. The DLC is an insult to lovers of the game. It highlights the worst part of the game...infantry combat. They could have bundled some fixes to the broken ground combat, but no. This game is now only worth playing modded, vanilla progression is garbage. They should have hired Vermillion and Ravien. You can see by the hours played that I got my moneys worth and more. It was my favorite game. Doesn't mean I recommend it anymore.

I guess I recommend this since it is free. Note to developers, us naval players would rather go back to the hanger and take a 6 minute time out, or more likely close the game if we load into a donut map with one objective. Those missions are just lazy design. Half of the team leaves after the first salvo every time, unless they have a battleship with range over 12km.

Straight Garbage

I won't lie, 510 hours in and I haven't even beat the game. I have spent much more time in the building editor. You can build pretty much any ship you can think of. The building freedom is much better than other voxel based games. If you like building Starships, you will love this game.

What can I say, as of the time of this writing this game is 8 years old and is still one of the best space rpg's out there. This game has received constant updates, the most recent yesterday!!! This game supports ultrawide monitor resolutions that even recent AAA titles do not. If it looks like your cup of tea, pick it up you won't be disappointed. (Edit 1/3/2024: 10 years later they put out an update, still one of the best space rpg out there.)

Wow, AAA studios take notes! This game is fun, better with friends. Imagine MC and Terraria had a baby but MC cheated with SKyrim. Building aspect is pretty good as is, with more building options incoming. Exploration is necessary because resources do not respawn. Weather and lighting effects are on point. Buy it. Play it.

What can I say, if you liked the first M&B you will like this one too.

I really enjoy this game. It is kind of like Rust and Day Z had a baby. You can play multiple ways: be a wandering homeless thief, Make an inpregnable fortress and hide out, or make some friends and start a trading collective. PVP and PVE servers available to suit your playstyle. Give it a try, you may be pleasantly surprised.
