If I had a time machine, I would go back in time and answer ''Yes'' to my childhood self's question '' Can people in the future make Planescape / Baldur's Gate games that have high budget/quality presentation and cinematics without losing the mechanical/systemic aspects of those games?'' Or maybe I wouldn't, It's beautiful to find out this way too.

The closest you'll get for playing Super Mario 64/Super Mario Galaxy on PC. A must buy for platformer fans.

Don't play this game if you want to play a game in a traditional sense.It would be better if you approach this game like a interactive poem or rather collection of letters. The only 2 gameplay mechanics this game has are walking and zooming in with your mouse click.
With that lack of gameplay mechanics in mind, comes the hard part to either recommend or not to recommend this game because it depends solely on whether or not you click with it's story and narrative. Soundtrack, environment desing and the game's cold and sometimes eerie atmosphere is beautiful but the story is too ''im14andthisisdeep'' for my taste with its checklist biblical references like Lot's wife and Paul the Apostle. Game is expecting you to have the framework to interpret literary texts and if you are lacking in this, you may feel lost in the story because the text is often written like stream of consciousness with many metaphorical and symbolic aspects. If you are new to this type of texts and/or games, you may enjoy it more than I did but I unfortunately couldn't find the intellectual undertone I usually seek while playing games like these.
