Played the game with a friend on his account. - Disregard the low playtime

At first the game seemed a bit slow, however it all made sense after collecting the first few items and pages. The way the book is used to describe the mechanics, puzzles, etc. is something I haven't seen before! The game managed to introduce mechanics in a intuitive and fun way without you feeling overwhelmed with information. The large world was fun to explore and the many secrets scattered all over the world made me view the world in a different way every time we passed by the same spot. The structure of the world allowed us to defeat the bosses in our own order thus allowing us to create our own unique adventure (even though the book suggests an order). The story itself is also quite special! I don't won't to spoil anything as I think you should experience it yourself ;). If I had to draw similarities to anything else I think the game resembles the feeling of the tv show "Gravity falls", it is eerie and mysterious yet feels like home. The world is yours to explore, decipher and understand. Some of the puzzles were quite difficult and we had to backtrack quite a few times to find the correct solutions, however most of the truly difficult puzzles are optional except Page 9. All I can say is that almost nothing in this game is random, everything serves a purpose!

Likely the best game I have ever played. It is one of the few games where I was truly sad when the game ended!
