TLDR; this game just doesn't hold up to modern VR standards.

I got this game as part of a bundle, figured it'd be neat to play a different style of Zombie game, but after just an hour of play time, I'm pretty disappointed. If you've played any other more recent VR games, this one just does not stack up.

The reload mechanics (Press a button and then move the gun to your chest) leave a lot to be desired. The sounds on the reload as well as the sense of when/where the reload took place are sorely lacking.

There's also a serious lack of interactivity with a lot of the environment. While you can pick up mundane things like cans and hamburger patties, all such interactions simply involve you hovering your hand near the object and pressing a button to interact. The only physics based interaction I could find was with throwing things, but the lack of tactile feedback, and the ability to simply push doors just didn't cut it for me personally.

My last and biggest complaint is with the proximity of things. The closest that you can get with the movement system to anything is about 1-2 feet away, which results in a lot of awkward far leans to try and pick things up. Worse than that though, is that zombies are subject to the same limitation, meaning they stop some distance away and swing at you with their apparent telepathic powers. While it's fine in terms of the actual gameplay, this long distance attack really robs the zombies of a lot of their intimidation factor and the feeling of being swarmed.

If you're looking for a zombie VR game, I'd highly suggest trying literally anything else, this game is not worth $30.

This game good, I like it, do buy, good game.
