Peapole here are really getting filtered by the tutorial huh?
All I can say is git gud.
Game is solid so far

Fun, short and engaging.
Just needs to fix the achievements lol

Pros:
OST is 10/10
Pretty graphics and some beautiful areas.
Characters from the main party interact like you would expect .
Prompto sometimes leans on the fourth wall.
The changes over vanilla that Royal/Windows edition brought were pretty good and made the latter chapters much more enjoyable.
Extensive post game content.
Quite a few references to other FF games.
HEV suit for Noctis.
Made me tearing up like a little girl at the end (I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff which I won't go into detail cuz spoilers n ♥♥♥♥♥ ).

Mixed:
Easy game unless you purposely use the level supressor item to keep you from going overleveled (doesn't prevent xp gain, just prevents you from leveling up), can be challenging if you stay around recommended levels (went to the final chapter with my characters at lvl 51, got my ass handed to me several times).
Although you can't pet the dog, you can ask him to give his paw, which is the next best thing.
In order to control the rest of the party you need to unlock a related skill tree entry and even then you can only take control of them in battle.

Cons
Story full of holes and in general flawed AF
For the story to make any sense you'll need to play the DLCs, watch a movie and an (short) anime series.
Combat system can be a bit lackluster if you only use Noctis.
Magic system is boring and can be straight up broken if you know how to exploit it.
Novelization of the cancelled DLC straight up throws existing lore out of the window.
Main love interest is quite shallow and has less screen time than her own brother (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ , and the DLC that was supposed to remedy (not fix) this was (again) cancelled.



It seems that the Final Fantasy community hates it because it goes against the Final Fantasy convention but it's not as bad as they make it out to be, and at its worst it is an okay ARPG. That being said I absolutelly love it, it's one of my favorite games of all time and my guilty pleasure.
It's worth the shot, specially if you like the genre.
