Really fun idle game with a great sense of humour. Note that there is actually some difficulty and skill involved at some point, which is actually a welcome addition. Having said that, there are many occasions when I was half paying attention to actually hitting the target and I missed, meaning I have to wait some more. Not an issue, but I lost the urge to keep playing after a while. Now if this game had steam achievements... well let's just say my hours on record will grow past 4.7h

I have played a lot of extraction type games, and I honestly didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did!

It's focused around getting gear that increases your stats like Str, Dex, Int, standard fantasy ♥♥♥♥. The higher your gear score, the better skills you get. You get two active skills at a time. You need to attack PvE which is easy, but still can get you killed if you're dumb. The movement is pretty fast and there is no fall damage, so you don't HAVE to fight PvE. The main reason PvE is there is to create opportunity for PvP, where the real fun is.

You can play solo against other solos, or you can enable challenge mode where you go against duos and trios as well. You can also go into deeper sections of the dungeon and get better loot, as well as fight bosses - or gank those who were fighting bosses.

After that, you need to find a portal on the ground that randomly spawns in different places and pings the map when you activate it - unless you have a scroll that prevents that.

Free to play with no pay to win that I have noticed yet. Yeah you can buy some potions, but you blow through those so quickly that you will be spending playtime earned gold to buy more in no time! Seems like cosmetics are the way they are going with monetisation.

It's fun solo, but can totally see how a support character with damage characters can be a crazy powerful team, or even just two or three damage characters!

It's free, give it a go!

FOR DEMOCRACY!

Side note: This game is brutal. It is not for people who like easy games. If you want to play it solo - which you're not supposed to do, but you will be in for a great challenge and the intrinsic reward is amazing if you're a masochist like me! xD

It's a tower defence, but it's a GOOD tower defence! Just a note to those who see "city builder", you can't actually choose specific locations for buildings. You kinda have pre-defined buildings in pre-defined locations and you choose when to build or upgrade them. So if you looking for a city builder, this is not it. If you looking for a fun tower defence, you found it!

This game has a huge amount of content and replay-ability, providing as much entertainment as titles over double it's value! I highly recommend this game to those who enjoy a challenge. Like a great turn-based strategy, it gives you that "just one more turn" feeling. At the same time like a good roguelike, it gives you the urge to try "just one more run" and that's a dangerous combo! xD

This game has nearly infinite replay-ability. There's a great learning curve, and no matter your level there will always be a moment that you are caught off-guard and get a genuine scare! The only negative I could say is that the game will never be as scary as when you first started playing it.

(Got it as a gift, but bought it for someone else because I enjoyed it so much and wanted to play it with them!)

EDIT: 79.6 hrs at original review time, 405.5 hrs on record, still having fun!

I will most likely edit this review once I have played some more, but I really needed to state how I am not having any issues with performance or crashing. My GPU is a 1050 with 3GB of VRAM, and the minimum spec says a 1050Ti with 4GB is needed. Are all you people who are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the game telling you that you don't have enough VRAM (or "GPU space" as one person put it.) trying to run it at maximum settings?! Just play the game at a lower graphic setting, it still looks really good compared to other games that I set to a mixture of low and medium. Hell, some settings are still on High!

As for the game itself, there are quite a few improvements over JW:E and I can tell I will spend just as much time, if not more in JW:E2!

One such improvement is how your rangers actually need to go and check on the dino's status, and you don't just magically know it. If that ranger car gets attacked, the car gets visibly damaged, and a door might even get knocked off! The way the dino's get fed has also been improved. Instead of having feeding stations with the herbivores, you actually need to have the proper ground fibre or nuts and fruit! There's just so much more depth here over JW:E, and I love it!

This game is amazingly fun! It totally delivers on all the hype that it built up before launch. Beware however, as it is not for the faint of heart. The learning curve can be quite steep, and both your aim and wits need to be razor sharp.

Currently the worst thing about the game is the long queue times, so solve that issue and get the game!

While the game is quote "fully playable", there are a few design decisions that don't really make sense to me.

One example of a confusing design would be that you have to choose the size of your train station right from the start, and there is no real way to upgrade the stations once you have placed them. The way to upgrade a station is to bulldoze the current station, which costs money, then build a new one which costs more money!

Another confusing decision is that you can't connect two locations together through multiple transport methods the way you would think. For example; I created a train line that went from town A to B. I was later tasked with creating a transport route from town A to C. B and C were quite close together, so I figured I would create a bus line from B to C, and people could travel from A to B by train, then go to C via the bus route. Nope! The game has no idea how to handle that. You have to create a line directly to the town with a single transport method. (Note that there appear to be mid-point waiting platforms, but you can't build those close to towns, so I have no idea wtf is going on there.)

Yet another confusing development decision was to begin with road, rail, and rockets... but no air or sea? Just a mention that there "maybe" will be other types added later. It's really weird that your transport business can build interplanetary passenger rockets before they can build a cargo plane, or even a bloody boat!

One more, just to drive the point home. The road and rail creation a pain in the ass! It's cumbersome, and compared to similar games it just feels bad. What really put me off was when I tried to make two parallel train tracks and was greeted with a crisscrossing instant ramen noodle mess! Though there is a "manual placement" option, in case you wanted to switch between two different tiles in order to create a diagonal line. Problem solved, I guess! More fiddly pain in the ass work, yay me!

I don't intend to refund the game, but I do intend to change my recommendation if the game improves.

A really fun dogfighting game for sure, especially if you are a Star Wars fan!
