I say this with absolute specificity and no exaggeration that this game is life-changing. That's all I can say without spoiling anything. The fact you're on this page right now means you are required to play this thing to its true ending.

This review is spoiler-free.

(Shout-outs to Weej for gifting me this game out of the blue because we played TF2 for a moment 7 years ago and didn't keep in touch since)

Not since Halo: Reach has a game gotten me so emotionally attached that it felt like a genuine experience with a close friend has been concluded. This little thing that has been buried in my wishlist, forgotten for so long, that, at the surface appears to be nothing more than a semi-dark, semi-philosophical and silly RPG-Maker title, but it is more than that...

It is much more than that. Telling you to trust me and the average reviews here would be the understatement of the century.

And that's exactly what this is: An experience.

Even now as I type this review, staying the tears from falling on my laptop's keyboard, This experience designed as a game serves as a monument to the gaming industry's ultimate achievement for player/protagonist relationships, designed in such a way that goes above and beyond what I have only casually imagined without a second thought, and what other games only dare to do; You know what? It has successfully done for me what even Undertale, although a blast for me, has failed to do: I cared about what I was doing, I cared about how my actions would affect everyone involved. I've never felt a sense of responsibility this heavy.

Games- no, experiences like this are the precise reason why I say "game design is its own genre of art"; a passion project bursting at the seams with care and personality from the moment you select "start". I dare say it's a sixth-sense of gamers to insta-favorite a game before the first 10 minutes, or when upon entering the prologue, their subconscious says "Oh yes, I made the correct decision in getting this. This is going to be great".

The title alone tells it all: This "game" is designed to be a one-time experience. Like all machines and programs, there is a work-around to delete your save data and start another playthrough... But why would you want to?

I now add this to the list of games the list of games that had left me crying at the end of them (I'm a little embarrassed to share this publicly, okay?).

The fact you have found this Steam page, means you have been graced with the honor of even seeing it at all, what's left is for you to set the commitment in motion. This is an experience everybody needs to see; and I do not say that lightly. Don't wait for a discount or the next holiday sale. Become part of this experience right now as it's looking you in the eyes.

The fact it doesn't have the same massive following and recognition as Undertale (again, also fantastic, don't get the wrong idea), is an insult to the creators of our world to begin with.

The ending has left me with something I didn't even know I was capable of feeling, let alone from a "game", something I can only describe as comfort, fulfillment, satisfaction, conclusion.

My one regret is that I will never get experience the senses of tension, dread, anxiety, and jubilant satisfaction from a blind run ever again in my life. My one shot has been used... And I'm happy.

I know the fan-sequels exist, and as much as I would be overjoyed for a official continuation, I understand what it's supposed to be, What this experience has taught me is what it means to finally let go. To let the experience be as it is, after years of philosophy study, I know the final step towards that feeling: Acceptance.

It hurts like all hell, as if being skewered by a harpoon fired by industrial-strength force being precisely targeted at your heart. The pain is unbearable upon impact, accompanied by the slow pull outward from the impact wound, upon which full extraction yields overwhelming relief after the events have been fully processed, understood, and accepted.

Goodbye, Niko...

Yup, still crying, especially saying that, Oh...

It's like TF2 but in medieval times.

Don't listen to any of those idiots whining about the Meet your Match update. If you want to play the game, go for it. If you want to pass it up, fine by me. The game is still excellent. Take it from with (at the time of writing this) 5,441 hours on here. It still retains its huge playerbase average well after 9 long years since release. Just some things have changed. I understand if you don't like them, but don't be a pretentious ♥♥♥♥ about it.

To launch this, go to your Steam Library, Right click CI5, "Launch Halloween DLC". You're welcome.

This was actually really fun. I just wish it wasn't 10 minutes long. The credits DO hint towards a sequel, but don't get your hopes up.

This is the best under-rated MMO I've ever played. Colorful artstyle, has a TF2 hat I've been wearing on my Soldier for nearly 2 years, similar playstyle based off of Zelda, Wonderful community, Loads of different armor sets and weapon types to suit your playstyle, A fun and cartoony beat-em-up, and we still have yet to see more lore and backstory. Not to mention the DLC is also well worth it.

If you play this game ONLY for the TF2 hat, then you must die a really, long, painful death. Just play this thing to death, okay? There's no better way to describe it in every nook and cranny.
