Extremely addicting class builder game that process to show you as demigod bringing chaos to your enemies on the journey of bloodshed.

And all happens within' my TAB key. Nothing personnel kid.

Sherlock being Sherlock as usual.
While the Detective elements and sections hit right on spot. The element of Open world isn't the best forte in this game. In the end it's an open map where NPCs roaming around and that's pretty much it. The player is there just to having to explore and traverse with nothing much else to do aside of obligatory "I have to go to X on foot and it will take a while." Think of this as Assassin Creed but Sherlock doesn't do parkour as is more or less force to walk like normal person even if the game wants you to walk for a long time. There's just running and knowledge of the game map because at your first time you will have trouble finding your way around and even then you'll rather use fast travel that doesn't allow you to do so unless you reach the places where it can for the sake of realism.

The combat is interesting but also a bit awkward. There IS close-combat but also there ISN'T. In order to engage in fist fight Sherlock needs to use his gun to shoot away enemy's "weak spot" or environments to stun them and then he may use close-combat that's actually insta-kill QTEs. Or needing to chip away the armor as extra step to do so. Thus, it's all about his gun that awkwardly also tells you not to just shoot to kill. The game just try to use Melee and Ranged combat just barely try to combine eachothers but only able to with 50-50 each. It gets annoying fast.

Nonetheless. The core mechanic of this game which is Detective work is amazing. Despite the NPCs being obvious with their shared ONE voice lines weather or not they are relevant to the plot or not.
Obviously, not as varies as LA Noire. But totally worth it if you are into Detective games. Get it while it is on sale would be my obvious suggest.

Probably the first in-depth detective sandbox game I've ever played. From fingerprints, shoe numbers, telephone logs and any traces. They pull no punches. No other games has put me into Detective vibe like this one does.

Although there are certain limits, obvious repetitiveness and the nature of sandbox with random generated world game would behave. It is super solid.

You'll have fun in this one Detectives.

uhhhh...
That's a lot of nerf after it was being good from start.

Not sure what's going on with the devs and company right now but damn.

The Paper, Please. PTSD hits again. But even more responsibilities.

The game is like vodka. Fun but at your own moderation. Prolonged hours did me a great headache. I love it.
However, the only notable issue I have with this game is the lighting and len flares effect this game has. The police siren light and lantern literally flashbang my eyes. Not recommended playing in dark room.

I did enjoyed it.

This game filled my XCOM withdrawal greatly. But in a half sense.

The concept of the game is fantastic. But some elements of the game hinted out the struggles that the game itself tried to maintain to catch up with XCOM concepts and at last they remained as the questionable assets to game itself.

The needs to Dipose the Body for example. The sake of stealth theme while balancing the nature of turn-base-XCOM-like ended up having our characters magically delete the dead bodies even in the weirdest scenario.

The Stats and Skill requirements to fit the DnD characters backgrounds.
This I do like but I also heavily disliked how Skills and backgrounds story of a characters have to be too fixated on stricted Weapon proficiency. That honestly doesn't hit right. It messed up the freedom of creating the characters players want.

And speaking of Stats.
The requirements to knockout enemy is that you need to have your guy's HP more than them is most questionable concept I learnt.
As far I understand there's no Percentage to Hit here. But having the Focus Bar to help out your survivability. Needing to have more HP than your enemy to be able to non-lethally knock them out is not good. I hate trying to juiced up my guy's HP JUST so I can finally match the gameplay for its stealth espionage theme and not just awkwardly get to mandatory loud or killing my targets when I wanted then alive instead. And trying to get more HP and Stats upgrade is not easy to come by.

Overall. The Investigation Board system is VERY unique and fun. Of course after a while I did notice the pattern and realized later how repetitive some names can be. But that's to be expected by then.

For a game to keep XCOM fans busy and dope up, I still do recommend this game. There are flaws but can say it was well-made.

Recommendable. While the game itself can be repetitive in its current built: Interesting ways with the ghost investigation, spook moments and hilarious moment with friends while under spook moments. All the necessary three materials to give it a good game.
