It hurt like hell, but it was the only way to sneak supplies past roving gangs and flesh-hungry undead. Each trip back from scavenging missions was agonizing, but the reward was simple: survival. In the safety of a crumbling basement, Michael pulled out all the dented cans, one after another, and feast quietly while chaos raged above. It was an okay solution, but in a world gone mad, anything to stay alive was fair game.
