This game is a fast pace spell baced playing experience, with each playthoug giving a different experience given you try out new spells each time.

While it can feel like some spells seem pretty useless, it's important to realize that each spell usually is meant to play with a certain number of other spells. I feel like this game has a ton of promise as it continues to develop. I feel like this game could have a number of things worked on, or included to improve the game substantially, such as more minion variety, or more dungeon variety, but at the moment, this game gives at least a solid twenty hours of challenging single player or multiplayer gameplay.

I'd love to see more bosses with ancient deity names and combos, along with more challenging game modes. With future updates, I can see this game becoming a classic must play, but if the developers don't continue to update the game, I can't see it being played that much in the future.

So, to all those saying all negative reviews are just people whining cause the game is hard, ♥♥♥♥ you. I've played through Xcom EU and loved it as a solid game filled with cool interesting ideas, and a challenge that overcame on multiple systems.

The thing that sets Xcom 2 in a negative light instead of a positive one like its counterpart can be summed up with a couple reasons.

For one: The game feels incomplete.
While I'm fine with buggy games if the developers show a strong desire to fix them, I feel that the developers have moved onto cash grab DLC. There's a delay whenever a soldier takes an action which adds to the length of a missions time which can be annoying. I found that the base building in the second game is lame and doesn't bring anything new to the table. While the new options for outfits can be fun to play with, many outfits are locked behind paywalls. The classes seemed pretty lack luster, especially when it came to them leveling up.

Second: Timed missions.
While I'm absolutely happy with the introduction to stealth in this game, I kind of feel like it doesn't work with almost any of the timed missions. I understand that there needs to be a pressure to get the fight started, but I can't help but get pissed when the timer pushes the played to take risks, while at the same time play it safe.
And on the topic of stealth, it makes almost no sense why one soldier revealing their location should allert all the ememies to my sniper who is pretty much in another state over.

Third: DLC.
There should be no reason why this ♥♥♥♥ costs this much. Most of it is cosmetic and another mission. I haven't played war of the choosen, so I wouldn't know what that is like, but for the others, don't buy them.

TLDR:
The mechanics feel sloppy and wrong, and I'd like to see better content for the classes and DLC missions.

The whole first mission makes no sense. Why is he attacking Shen and everyone else? Wouldn't that make them not want to help Julian? Why do they keep going up? Didn't they come to this giant ass tower knowing what could possibly be happen if they couldn't get down? Bring a rope ffs.
The robot that teases you throughout the mission kind of falls flat in many places, and at almost every point in the mission he comes off as less clever, and more of a ♥♥♥♥.
I can't say I'd want to do this mission again, even for the reward (which is kind of lame). And if I wanted an hour of litteral enemy spam, I'd just play Trove again.

It was fun at first, but now it's just a grind fest. I really only get on every monday to grind out the basic ♥♥♥♥, then I get off for the rest of the week.

Many of the classes suffer way more than they should in very common dungeons. There's a class breaking bugs where using your ult will set it on cooldown without it actually activating. There are times where your character will stop shooting and you have to switch characters to fix it (which is really inconvenient when you're in the midddle of a boss fight).

Dungeons are creative but repetitive. Often times there isn't a good reason to grind with a bunch of people since they're either too weak, or too strong.

I really can't suggest to you this game, unless you're just looking for a self centered game about grinding for what is essentially one time use mounts.
