It's truly amazing how much a little cross-genre gameplay can completely change your opinion about a game in a genre you hate. I don't think I'll ever be able to play a different turn-based combat game the same again after this.

Squeakross is a really good Picross game. The mouse-theming is cute, the whole game is just so cozy, and the puzzles are also pretty fun. Only single-color puzzles are available in this game, and only a few out of the 650 puzzles require guessing. On top of that, puzzle sizes don't usually get too large, and you can use hints as much as possible - so you'll never run into so much trouble with a puzzle that you'd have to start over. This game's absolutely wonderful to play on a steam deck too.

Yes, it is. It's not really an enjoyable experience, but 2 things in particular pushed me into refunding the game:
1. The ending, if you could even call it that.
2. You can't earn achievements on your first playthrough. Have fun doing everything again!
Apart from that, it's also not really clear where your character's hitbox is, since you're invisible. I got stuck a lot on terrain through which it looked like I could pass through, but there ended being a small chunk of dirt somewhere that was blocking my path,

A short but cool game with a cool soundtrack. The main story will take about an hour at most to finish the first time around. Most of the actual gameplay is focused on doing specific challenges and getting high scores.

An ace-attorney-like, and a masterclass in writing a "Traitor" plot. I had zero problems with the ending, which seem to be a lot of what the negative reviews are about- I actually liked it a lot. Fun characters, good music, and a really good plot, I loved it through and through.

Loved the story, the music, and the voice acting - classic SuperGiant game in that regard. Also in the classic SuperGiant game fashion, I had zero interest in trying the NG+ "super hard achievements and challenges".
Either way, I definitely recommend playing this game if you're a fan of SuperGiant's other games, or you're just interested in a short-ish game with a solid story and voice acting, coupled with some interesting gameplay.

Sometimes a game is so good you just can’t find the words to describe how good it was. Just play this game even if you hate turn-based combat games, it does it way better than most games.

One of the very few games that I still really liked and would reccomend to people even though I rarely actually enjoyed it. The gameplay is slow and tedious, the main characters are the absolute worst, but MAN, Johnny's story is just too good. It kept me playing to the end, even through all the other crap. The ending felt a bit like the main characters "magic'd" everything to be right, especially after all the other trouble they went through to do the same stuff earlier in the game, but it was still pretty nice, so no point subtractions from me there.
Oh and, miss lady doctor? For River isn't "just 2 notes over and over again", it's actually a really beautiful song.
