I have wasted so much time with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game and the toxic community that it has. Now the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ decided to make it free to play to get more players to play this pile of garbage. Not that it's going to change much since the developers are living from the ♥♥♥♥ ton of DLCs that this game has to offer. But every human being with a working brain will figure out the shady business of these developers.

Edit: I was bored and decided to crawl back to this steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥. Unfortunately not much had changed. And to my utter disbelief, I was struck with the revelation that this game (at least on higher difficulties) is basically pay-to-win. You actually have to blow additional money to make yourself useful for a mere difficulty tweak. I always knew that the developers behind this game were shady but this is taking it to an EA level.

Edit2: It's 2023 now, Payday 3 is almost here and these mindless devs keep pushing out DLCs and achievements. I had my 100% completion several times but they just won't give it a rest. They just refuse to move on to the next garbage game which is literally a recycle of what we already have in this game. Dear devs, it's for this very reason that I won't shove more money down your throats for any further games you crap out.

I'm a merciful god so I've decided to come back and change this review. If the developers decide to either scrap or provide an alternative path to achieving the 'Committed' achievement I will gladly take this review down. I don't recall what I've paid for this game but it certainly was too much. The witty dialogue and meta humour shouldn't contribute to the price of this game.

Only bought it cause it was on sale and I wanted the TF2 items.

Edit: Since Rockstar finally got off their ass after 5 years and decided to ♥♥♥♥ off with that "create an account to save your progress" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I managed to give this game a proper chance. It actually felt like a massive upgrade from GTA V at first, however, once you dig deeper you will understand that it lacks quality in many other areas.

-God awful driving mechanics
-A Dysfunctional combat system
-An uninspiring story that goes absolutely nowhere
-Characters that don't develop at all and are purely stereotypes with one or two traits.
-A Useless minimap that doesn't even bother to display all enemies nor the shortest route to your target while driving
-No autosave, no checkpoint system in missions
-Taking a taxi is always a struggle because your character just slows down when you decide to hold F and just sneaks after the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cab instead of actually getting his ass in there. Whistling after it is also a problem since most of the time the cab will already be occupied by other NPCs which means the cab won't stop, and when it does decide to stop for you, it just drives at the end of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ block instead of just stopping right there
-Grindy achievements like killing 200 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pigeons without them being displayed on your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map
-The DLCs have some of the most idiotic achievements, some of which are based on the awful combat system

Writing this review for a badge, the game is utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ these days.
