I'm not really a fan of Visual Novels. They tend to bore me within the first few minutes of opening them up. However, Doki Doki Literature Club is different. VERY DIFFERENT. The story presents itself as a super cutesy moe rom-com, but don't be decieved. The warning that this game is not for children or the faint of heart is there for a reason.

The artwork and soundtrack are excellently done. The only thing that would make it better is if there was voice acting for the female characters.

The pacing can be quite inconsistent, but that's part of the game's charm.

Do I recommend it even with the flaws? Yes. Yes I do.

If I had to give it a numerical score it would be a 9.5/10.
