I just beat the story on easy mode. And I loved it.
there were moments that was frustrating, but I manage to overcome those moments.

There is a small continues problem where I "think" I have to click on the 'Frostbreaker' to select it, which just closes the menu cause its already selected.

but once I figure out the problems with those kinds of issues, it gets much easier to navigate through.

The concept of the game as shown in the demo is great. But the full released version is to short, and to easy.Completed in an hour.15 min of that is spent going between levels.when you are done with a level, you have to exit the level, return to the chapter menu, select the next level and then you can play the next level. and all it would need is for a "next level" button to appear when you complete it.If you tried the demo and liked it... get ready to have half of the levels shown there NOT be in the game. You see the snake in the games banner? it is in the demo, but NOT in the released game ?!?all the adam / eve levels... they are reduced to 3 tutorial levels. My suggestion for the developper.Custom story mode.Let the players have full control with access to all backdrops and characters to make their own story.Or perhaps even to make puzzles they can share with other players.

The game on its own is fine...
its just that the player base is highly infected with hackers. Making the task of winning the game near impossible when on the same server as them.

Pro:
If you are already familiar with Ace Attorney games, then you know what you are getting yourself into.
Great story, great mysteries.

Con:
Herlock sholmes deductions.
Rather early in the game, the players learn that Herlock Sholmes are TERRIBLE at making deductions.
one one hand, it can be fun to read just how bad his observations and deductions skills are.
but since the players KNOW that we have to course correct him anyway, the entire sequence becomes pointless.
even more so since after each deduction, the players are forced into going through the entire thing a second time.

This is a story about change.
a story about how 1 change in word can affect the outcome of the story.

As you play, you discover more special words or "charms" as the game call them.
you use these charms at special keypoints in the history to change the outcome.

One of the short commings of this game however is that these charms... some of them are never used.
and the only places where you can use charms, the game only lets specific charms be used for that instance.
I can understand the need to limit the brances the story can take. to many branches in a story gets harder and harder to keep track off and program.

But I would personally have liked if the game had a little more wiggleroom in the choises.
for instance, when you walk around and talk to the other characters in the game. Why not let me chose some dialog words from time to time. Just some small dialog to npc's that otherwice would have no effect on the overall story.
seriously. among one of the first "charms" you get, is the word "♥♥♥♥".
So why not let me be a potty mouth after that point if I want to ?

I can even see the achievement for me.
"Potty mouth - offend everyone with 1 word"

As you progress thoughout the game, you get to learn the daily routine of each character.
You might even decide to spend an entire loop spying into a single room you cant acces yet... just to see if there will be any characters going into the room sometime during the day, or to know if that is one of the "safe" rooms.

You slowly start to think that this will all lead up to you having to save everyone in one single loop.
you might even start to plan out everything.
Best starting position in the loop.
Which order to interact interact with various items.
The perfect route to avoid all the other guests and the staff.

A nice idea... that the game unfortunantly is not going with.

If you try to do it anyway. the day WILL reset after you save one of the guest, and point you toward the intended ending.

But that is the only con to this game.

The music is diverse enough that you never feel it repeats itself... even if you restart the day over and over.
The characters unique and interesting, both the staff and the guests.
The graphic of the game looks great.

The screen might turn black for a second when you go to a different room (minor and only glitch In the game).

I give this game a 9/10 score.
the only reason I reducted a point is because I like this game so much that I would like for there to be a true "endless mode".

EDIT: 15/12-21
Due to the new endless mode just being released, this officially turned into an 11/10 game =^_^=

Suzerain is a well written visual novel with some "chose your own adventure" options added.
Due to the fact that the game have these options, it's a game thats worth playing through more than once.
It fun to read how making 1 seemingly small change can down the road make a huge difference in the outcome of things.

In my oppinion, there is however one small problem. But this is just me nitpicking.
Most of the game is switching between looking at the country map, or reading text.
and I would have personally liked if perhaps some of the decisions would subtally be shown on the map.

For instance, there map shows a drawn border between the different countries.
depending on the relation between the countries, the color of the drawn border could slightly shift darker or lighter.
Or perhaps when you decide to start a "mega project" it will show up as more than 'just' a progress bar under the city.

The game does have so cool looking aspects and ideas in the trailers.
For instance the giant maze room.
Its a fun idea to be able to look "up" to get an overview of a part of the maze, but without that knowledge being able to help you in the moment.
My facination stoped however the moment I realised... all those "action sequences" in the dark hallways... that was NOT part of the maze.

The biggest flaw of this game, is that all the cool ideas... are spread out into their own seperate "challenges/ maps/ modes".
and everything that moves kills you instantly if you even so much as scrape it... you cant even jump without getting hurt.

For actual gameplay, It takes less than an hour to complete this little gem.
But those tunes will stick with your playlist forever.

Seriously, this music alone is awesome !!
play the game and buy the OST for it, cause it is definitly worth it.
