Probably some of the best VR melee combat that I have seen since blade and sorcery... when it works. The combat is VERY fun when you learn all the rules as it's more grounded than blade and sorcery is. I'd compare it to boneworks as you need to learn how the game expects you to play and once you do that you begin to enjoy it a lot more. However it can be VERY buggy at times and your character dies very fast which is not a great combination.

I'm playing on a 3080 and I can see the game begin to struggle a bit during combat. Not enough to really affect me but it's noticeable so if you don't have a beefy rig I could see combat being a struggle. The hit boxes on enemy attacks and your own weapons are maybe a bit too precise as I can never tell if it's the game glitching or if I actually just missed. Overall though I think the game is worth it. The peaks of the combat feel amazing and I believe they outweigh the downsides.

As for the rest of the game, the world looks great. I wouldn't say it's truly exceptional but you can tell a lot of care was put into really selling the massive scale of the game and by the time you get bored of looking at an area it's usually over. The story is pretty meh but it does the job.

Not even close to finishing the game so I'll update this review when I do, but so far It's a solid 8/10. With some bug fixes and quality of life improvements I think it could easily be a 9/10
