A Soulslike with a Starwars twist. The first play though and discovery is flawless, you are constantly discovering new things and hidden spots. You need to check, check and check again ( often with new abilities) to make sure you 100% your areas. Its a fun game, and for the star wars diehards, the tale of Cal Kestis will have you on the edge of your seat.

Drawbacks - replay-ability, this is coming from my experience before they added new game +, and while new game + is a huge step forward towards replay-ability, it doesn't posses the experience of re-playable combat of its namesake. while there are plenty of enemies on the map, the lack of any really challenging fighting makes this game seem kind of lacklustre in comparison, even if they are meant to be enemies designed to take you down. The boss fights while short and fairly simple were interesting and the story behind the game was compelling.

Would i recommend this game, yes absolutely. But do i recommend this game at $90 RRP? No, this is a $50 Game. It possesses exceptional graphics and great story, but very little to keep you coming back, and while it is a star wars story ( one that i wouldn't recommend you going without knowing), there are lots of other titles out there that deliver non stop action, compelling story and great game play which you can come back to time and time again. With Cal there is one build (slight variations based on what you chose first) and one strategy to fighting.

If you have $90 to spare on a video game and you haven't tried Sekiro or Darksouls 3 yet, then i would recommend giving them a go. Both of which are currently $90 on the steam store, and with over 100 hours in each of them, i can assure you that they are games that keep on giving.

I can't get enough, really. the obsession didn't stop...it only got worse.

It's okay...

I don't have a lot against this game, it just really didn't thrill me. The combat is extremely arcadey, which is to be expected, however there are fights where you cant do anything but get hit, and there are often story obstacles in the form of puzzles where there is no information. I am enjoying some of the content of this game. However, if you are looking for good combat games, i would go somewhere else, and if you like good puzzle games i would go somewhere else....I was a big fan of the first Darksiders game and the second. Maybe I've changed? but the game just doesn't feel great. Maybe meant for a younger audience?

Well damn...if that wasn't the best first 42 hours of a survival game i have ever played. I was really on the fence about picking up this title. I'm glad i did, the aquatic environment really forces you to overcome new challenges, while also providing you with a completely different perspective towards the immensity of the underwater kingdom. If you don't enjoy survival games where your greatest tool is your own wit, or you don't enjoy building a spanning colony of mining and scientific outposts, this game might not be for you. If you do, then it might just be the best money you have spent in a long time.
