Pretty decent RPG with quite a few mediocre sides.

Combat was nice, movement cool, exploring felt rewarding, world was beautiful, experience smooth and lot of skill combinations to test. No performance issues and big bonus personally for me was that all content was included (even when bought from humble bundle).

Neutral thing I would say some of the skill combinations were pretty OP and autoshooters / reacts kinda break the mechanics.

Biggest downsides would be a lot of padding content, story elements felt like they skipped few steps suddenly and lot things were taken at face value. World felt like barely reacted to you and very one dimensional villains without depth. Couple twists, but they were barely explored further.

Life is pain and suffering, Tekken is the hell.

All the effects and animations look nice and game play feels great even as a practically first timer to fighting games even if you do not understand a thing.

There is a lot of frustration when you start, because you don't understand a thing happening on the screen maybe not even see, this will continue for a long time most likely, but once you realize what is actually happening and why the game feels superb. Same thing with inputs.

If you want climb ranks you have to build good amount of knowledge by losing and studying. Thick skin and
time is required.

Only real big negatives, I would say are the aggressive monetizion with dlc characters, battle passes, stages and cosmetics on top of the main game and you probably need a friend (or Youtuber) to help you out as you play as it is frustrating as hell.

For nostalgia enjoyers.

For anyone new controls are god tier bad, multiple displays ♥♥♥♥♥ up mouse, couple crashes, instant 0 to 100 gameplay afk first 15 sec and it snowballs out your control but the simple gameplay is fun.

Throwing one dollar on sale reasonable, one can only hope it goes to the actually devs.

The game is great, experience is epic, role play value high with some replayability.

You need somethings before you start though.
-You need to add union community patch from steamworkshop (Easy).
-You need to know that it takes couple hours for the controls to feel 'good'.
-Game feels hard until get used to it.

As an experience the game is top tier. It has lot of interesting lore, learning the game feels rewarding, characters are interesting and believable with their own goals and habits. World feels real, logical and well put together.

Combat is cruel for starter, you can get overwhelmed by weakest mobs, it is not obvious how to get stronger, but when you do you reach new areas easier, faster and really feel stronger. In the end you will feel like a god and you have a opportunity to literally wipe out everything who wronged you and people do.

Quests are interesting in a sense that as newbie you will do a lot of rational minor tasks like finding people or gathering food, mine to gain experience you can invest in skills to gain extra money mechanics or combat prowdess. As far as the main story is you will join a faction from three and continue the thing from their perspective. Unfortunetly it is awfully similar for all sides, which is a shame. There are some options to betray or switch sides. You can fail some quests too(For your gain sometimes too) which is pretty epic.

Immersion works great, you can do a lot things that would be impossible in other games. Like killing npc and looting all they have, think out of box solution (with spells) or keep the stuff your supposed to deliver , steal the stuff instead buying or betray someone for a little profit. Each of the factions have their own local rules, you can get away with killing people in front of you in some. People start to fear you after you get strong or kill someone in front of them. List goes on.

Handful of negatives I would point out.
-controls are hard at the start (Maybe impossible without union patch)
-Some glitches, like if they won't talk to you when they doing animation. (You can usually break the animation by drawing weapon to force them to do the same)
-Some crashes (alt tab won't work for example.)
-When you start you run a lot, it gets better late game with teleport rune rewards and sprint potions.
-Finding some spells scroll are hard in the first act. You maybe completely stuck on some quests.

After lot of lore, running, playing around you feel like a winner. I can't wait to play this again as a ultimate scum lord and see how the world reacts.

My first impression is, it is not worth it your time. It lacks the very basics of good "feel" effects and tools.

Review (Game examples)

The game examples are very simple and boring. This does not mean you cannot enjoy them or games made with this. Let me explain.

The games miss very basic features like simple awareness. Killing an NPC in front of them rest will ignore it like nothing happened as long as they far way from you (the sound source / distance).

There is no 3d sounds or even footsteps, it is very difficult to be even aware of anything around you. You become aware only because they act like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and start shouting lines at you. If that was disabled, they would put invisible ninjas to shame.

There is concept of material bulletproofness. You can see through things like fences and wires, but they solid as stone. You can't and enemy can't shoot through these things which leads to most non-immersive experience. Where enemy literally stacks at nearest corner where they can shoot.

A lot of the good "feel" and clean visual elements are also missing. Shooting, moving do not feel because they lack the impact and feedback of the action. Bad sound effects is partly to blame too. Hit sound when you hit a target should be a default option too.

Head shot is the most common good feel thing, where you get rewarded that one shot kill into small hit box and usually alternative hit sound. Some examples lacked this too.

The early example games had also a lot of common design issues like if you killed everyone, you ran out of ammo, or the enemies would be just easily skippable, often anti-rewarding if you spend time to kill them.

Things like highlighting pickable or key interactive items would go long way into making player goal easy.

As it stands you are kinda stuck with "about" window at the start menu for most of the examples. That's it. Some of the non-linear ones really struggled in telling what to do.

Engine tools can do way more than this. One positive thing was that non of the games crashed during playtime, Unfortunately I can't say the same about the engine.

Now next to the engine.

Review (game tools)

Engine is missing basic features like quick save with ctrl+s.

It is relatively confusing as you start, but there are some tutorials in the very editor.

Most of the tools do not have good feel and get janky very quickly. Performance is struggling at wrong places. Tools like terrain editor and building editor look nice standalone, but do not blend very well.

Performance is not very good in test mode either. When you screen has a long view distance performance tanks well below screen refresh rate with RTX 40 series.

Biggest problem however was the crashes, reason I did not bother further than terrain / building editor was that the editor was constantly crashing. This really hampered any chance at progress, especially when combined with no common shortcut for saving the project.

Very good feels aside from few crashes. Top tier FPS.

Great example what we should expect from remakes, not the usual thing we get.

Positive surprise, all the small animations, touch of replayability, good characters, some voice acting, not cliche as ♥♥♥♥.
Played mixed ending, virgin ending, bloodbath ending. First playthrough was 5hours.

-English translation is pretty bad, at best funny worst you get confused.
-Sex scenes the moaning sounds etc play through whole scene and it is very overpowering.
-Some minor plot errors if you go look for them.

Do not buy if you dont want to go to carve, kill nekel monsta afraid of libbers or rebbels just a monster that will destroy the world.

@edit you need the r18 patch.
