If I could set this review as being "Mixed" I would. The gameplay is fun and the concept is super interesting, but overall the game suffers from a lot of pitfalls that I believe need a lot more fine tuning before the game can be fully enjoyable to a wide margin. The very nature of the game means not everyone will enjoy it, not even people that loved Elden Ring, but the time limit put on the player often times feels too overbearinig and can result in a frustrating experience, specifically whenever you play with randoms in Online Matchmaking. The "Rougelite" mechanics in the game, despite not being officially advertised as having such, are also a tad underbaked, and could use some adjustment/rebalancing. The relics you collect in the game really don't feel like they have *that* much of a meaningful impact over your run.

Overall, I like this game, but I can totally see and understand why some people have issues with it. I'm sure with a few more balance patches, the game will be in a much better state.

it's pretty fun and generally excels at what it aims to do. Behemoth's stories are always funny and slapstick and the artstyle will always remain timeless. My only real criticism is the gameplay loop gets stale pretty quickly, and some encounters generally feel like they were made with co-op in mind moreso than a solo player. Definitely pick it up on sale if you see it.

It's everything I could have asked for in a remake for Risk of Rain. The game manages to still be completely fresh to play, and to boot, they've added a ton of new content, music, and officially added up to 4 player co-op. I can see myself playing this game for many, many hours to come. This game holds a pretty special place in my heart, being one of the games I played a ton during the pandemic. Thank you, Hopoo, Chris, and all of the guest composers who helped make this game as beautiful as it is.

A truly beautiful game with a captivating story of stopping at nothing to uncover the truth in an unwavering sea of lies and deceit. The game's overall pacing, mostly in the beginning leaves a lot to be desired for me, but this game is very much a product of its time in terms of actual RPG elements.

The story, the characters, and (most) of the Social Links are well written and had me fully invested all the way through. If you're looking for a fun and well written narrative, Persona 4 Golden will be a game you enjoy, much like I did.

Fear & Hunger 2: Termina is a game which at first glace has the simple reputation of "obligatory extremely difficult RPGMaker game with dark themes and unforgiving gameplay." While these observations are not entirely wrong, the game offers a really well done take on conveying the story of a hopeless cast of characters, and their brutal fight for survival.

I fully believe Termina is best experienced completely blind, with guides being used to an absolute minimal. The game will break you, and it won't ever stop being extremely harsh. But for the few who can manage to learn its quirks, you'll soon find yourself easily turning the tables on the monsters that once wiped out your entire party. The game offers 8 different playable classes, all with unique backstories (all of which are playable text adventures!) and more characters are soon to come into the game, along with new areas and enemies.

Even though I do think you should check out this game, I must stress that the themes in this game are terribly dark and will never hesitate to show you unsettling imagery or sounds. Take the game's warning 100% to heart, because it is not lying.
